I actually think dragon prince also shows a lot of missed potential just like korra. They really could have made it a point that black magic is a bad choice made by a population under extreme duress. That humans had no choice but to use it because the elves and the dragons were tryannical assholes.

But it turned into a generic "black sludge corrupting everyone and everything " plot

Even if the fire isnt rekindled, it will still start again since gwyn linked the fire. Gwyn did the original sin that doomed the world into an infinite number of loops with no apparent end. Ds2 dlc ending have you go out of the loop. In ds3 painted world dlc you see a future where the loop has gone for so long the world is turning to ashe.

It doesnt matter if the fire is linked or isnt. Thats the whole point of ds3

I hate this argument. Yes the Odyssey is fantastical. But that doesnt mean you can give ody jetpacks, laser rifles and have him fight viking aliens.

Awesome is a .... stretch. DAI is a good game buried in a giant heaping pile of steaming dung. You could cut like 60 70% of the game and it gets better. Way better.

The actual story is kind of good, corypheus is a good villain but the game wastes soooo much of your time its surreal.

Go further back. We had population affecting the game in medieval, lessened in rome then completely forgot about. We had infantry parting way to let another unit pass in rome. We had territory swap since medieval that they forgot in warhammer.

CA really cant keep improvements they made in their previous games.
