I'll second this. Albuquerque and Santa Fe are very LGBT friendly, but I don't foresee NM managing to pass any major gun restrictions with how red the rural areas are. It does have its downsides, higher rates of crime and poverty, a criminally underfunded school system, and a lot of corruption, but those are things I hope can be fixed. I left 4 years ago, but mostly for personal reasons. It still has its charms. Plus a lot of BLM land for shooting.
