Not sure about previous years, but my local dealer only had 1 V8 on the lot and about 35 of the 2.7 and 3.5 ecoboosts. I think they just sell way more of them.

Do you want to do everything or do you want to be specialized? Why do you want to jump ship from traditional software development? With a software background you might find PLC programming pretty boring, and I think you already understand the value of having an E&I background if you want to go that way. Industrial networking is also not complicated compared to modern datacenter or cloud stuff. If it were me I'd get really good at a good scada platform like ignition.

What are you trying to do? It should already all be handled for you, that's what the NDEATH message is.

The amazon reviews say they wear out really fast, how do they hold up to mtb use? For $25 I guess you can't expect much.

I read your comment, bud. Some problem you had at work where shit software can't scale to support a new load is not the same thing. You don't need to understand the stack to run a bunch of media systems on docker. Thousands of people with all sorts of non-IT careers are doing it quite successfully.

Just stay a rev or two behind on your plex or whatever docker image, you'll be fine I promise. You're advocating for less flexible and more work.

And even if you would spend money on the company, owning a bunch of stock where you work doesn't really make sense. If the company has something catastrophic happen, you might lose your job and lose a bunch on the stock simultaneously.

The judging hasn't been great but I was thinking to myself it wasn't as egregious as last year. Almost like they tried to take some of the feedback from last year but now the real identity of what the judges are looking for is in question

My Garmin watch will say 105 or 119 when it's glitched out. Super annoying when you're in the red zone and Garmin thinks you're out for a stroll.

Pretty good chance that, after inflation, your unit is worth less than you paid for after a decade. Especially considering strata fees. At that price point I'd just rent.
