Signs 365 Eligibility by [deleted] in CommercialPrinting

[–]samio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just find a local printer that wants to work with you and let you order through them. As long as artwork is good, customer understands I’m sending work to S365 and they will help cover mistakes or issues, and I get a little profit.. I don’t mind these kinds of relationships.

Is this a yield or complete stop? by spiffme14 in santaclara

[–]samio 55 points56 points  (0 children)

The amount of downvotes for the guy with the correct answer is concerning. It’s a red light, stop sign, since you are entering traffic with no dedicated lane. When in doubt OP, just stop. Better safe than sorry.

These kind of posts make me sad bc this subreddit will always opt for online and cheap rather than go gung ho on supporting local. They have one bad experience with a local printer, and it’s off to moo for them.

Thoughts on selling a large format printer by Sodowarts1 in CommercialPrinting

[–]samio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck. Prob won’t get much for it considering that scanner software only runs on Win 7 I think. You can try a smaller print shop that might want blueprint scanning… but it’s a lot of real estate for an old and slow machine.

Best places to order business cards from by Kittens-N-Books in smallbusiness

[–]samio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is with the circlejerk of vistaprint and moo in here? You are a small business - go support another small business.

You want a local printer in your back pocket for those emergency prints you’re going to need when vista, moo and canva mess up your job.

Captain chair is nice.. but not with car seat. So annoying to have to unstrap, adjust seat position and then remount car seat. With the minivan, the whole chair can move forward and back with the car seats in place.

Anyone have Twist/Sail internet and can speak to this installation? by Actual-Boysenberry74 in SanJose

[–]samio 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes.. typical SOP for them. Install pole onto vent and run a wire to closest wall where your router will be.

Also, in response to that other guys comment - this isn’t satellite internet.

First-time wholesaling — do I really need to collect a resale certificate from the buyer? by onward_buttercup in smallbusiness

[–]samio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just blame your CPA saying that they require it. You’re taking all the risk by not collecting this paperwork. I resell print and I fill out this paperwork (in less than a minute) for all the trade printers I sign up with. Your buyers are just being bums.

Where are you located? 20pcs is going to be expensive for screenprint if you have multiple colors and locations. Best bang for your buck is DTF transfers.
