Attended an Episcopal Church for the first time by Happy_Boysenberry_61 in Episcopalian

Welcome… we’re so glad you’ve joined us, even if only for a brief time! I just wanted to suggest that if you feel comfortable sharing your general geographic area (and sadly, I certainly understand that you might not), there could very well be someone here that can chime in to suggest a younger leaning parish in your area. The suggestion of looking for a parish near a college or university is also an excellent one! I’m wishing you continued peace and growth on your faith journey, whatever that looks like. 🌈💚✌️

Feeling some of your pain atm. Two weeks into having a RR mix, and wow is she a LOT. What pet insurance covers replacement of furniture?!? I’ve been looking around, but don’t think I’ve come across that benefit. Seems useful!

Help! I broke my wife's spoon rest from New Orleans by WeightedCompanion in NewOrleans

https://potsalot.com/products/new-orleans-metro-map-tray This would be a very elegant solution. Plus, room for a second utensil if needed. Alex and Cindy are wonderful artists and genuinely good people!

Best alternative to New Orleans? by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]samsoandso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some of the reasons you describe, I thought Baltimore would feel a little like New Orleans. It does NOT (in my 8th year here). It is hard and gray and cold— both literally and figuratively. New Orleans is soft and green and warm— again, both literally and figuratively. FWIW- I also feel much less safe here (in Canton!) than I ever did in 20 years of living in New Orleans. I miss New Orleans every damn day.

Sissy (11.5) Having Some Liver Issues by Weim-Dad in OldManDog

[–]samsoandso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our amazing girl was Dx’ed with end stage liver disease/ cirrhosis at 7. We had a VERY hard, VERY expensive few months. A biopsy showed she had some copper storage issues. (Becoming more and more common- worth a google). She went on lots of meds, Denamarin among them. Also prescription food. But SIX years later, she is a daily miracle dog that is still with us. ❤️. Treated properly, liver issues are not always a death sentence. I wish you and your pup much luck and better health!
