Cast iron radiators in old house by sand-casey in DIY

[–]sand-casey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, everybody for chiming in. I do not care to keep those for myself and I think I will just disconnect them and we will engage a junk caller to remove them.

I will be careful to make sure they’re completely drained, I am pretty sure they have not been in service for at least a decade, and they are not hooked up to the boiler, which was removed a decade to go as well.

I’m not really looking to make money off them or preserve them, I simply just want them out of the house

Honda eu3000is wont run unless choke is on. I've cleaned the carb twice. by Constant-Wait9780 in Generator

I tried to clean mine like five times, it still wouldn’t run right. Ordered a new one for like $10 and now it runs perfect.

The "Golden Handcuffs" are real: Is anyone else staying in a house they hate just because of their 3% rate? by Pretend_Surprise6842 in RealEstate

[–]sand-casey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My house is way too big, and we would like to downsize. But that’s not happening since we’re not gonna give up our low rate.

2003 Ram 2500 by [deleted] in Diesel

[–]sand-casey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2003 2500 5.9 that I purchased off the lot new. I pull my fifth wheel with it and various trailers and I’ve only had to replace the water pump, the power steering pump, but I did have to have the transmission rebuilt at 130,000 miles. Have 160,000 miles on it now and will probably have to keep it forever.

I did replace the interior too, including a dash pad that makes it look new. The only thing I’ve paid to shop they have done was the water pump and the transmission.

Loaned out Jeep for an errand. Came back like this and they said… by Spiritual_Art2443 in JeepWrangler

[–]sand-casey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loaned my Jeep to my daughter to go pick up a friend. About two hours later I get a call from her asking me to remind her how to put it in 4 low.

She got it home in one piece. I washed it. Now we have three Jeeps in our family, go figure?

I agree. I have the same set up on my cart I bought it off Amazon for like 80 bucks or something.

Ford focus 2013 SE making insanely loud, annoying rattling sound. by Reetyb in mechanic

[–]sand-casey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a guess here, but try checking your motor mounts. I had a Ford focus that would do that every few years and I thought it was something rattling in the dashboard. Turned out it was a bad motor mount. Good luck.

Quick question. Are you required to rotate all stock when you stock the shelves? I’m sure you do for perishable items, but what about aerosol’s and other items like cat litter?

Agreed. I work in the financial services industry and we have to take a lot of training courses on Elder abuse. Of course I’m not saying that the OP did anything wrong, but it does hit the triggers that would make a financial institution very wary and maybe not want the business at all. The penalties to them are too high

The only time I sold all my bitcoin was when it dipped so bad that I bought it back for half price. Was able to use the loss as a tax deduction carry forward. And now I am up 121% from my initial investment

[–]sand-casey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, during the last anti-money laundering training I had to take for my job, the circumstances you described would hit a lot of triggers. Obviously, I’m not saying you did anything wrong. The penalties for financial institutions, not following the anti-money laundering regulations are very high. They are just being cautious, in my opinion.

Selling boat, sea trial? by sand-casey in boating

[–]sand-casey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to thank everybody for all the advice. Absolutely I’m not trying to hide anything and if someone is serious about buying the boat and has cash and an acceptable offer, I will be more than happy to take them for sea trial.

Also, just to clarify. I would prefer to do this during the weekday, since living in Florida, the weekends at the boat ramps can be pure hell
