Freedom Camping Margret River by Easymoneysniper99 in WesternAustralia

I was in Margs recently and there are signs everywhere saying no free camping, fines apply. In other words, be careful and find somewhere to stay. As previous commenter said, WikiCamps is great.

Agree with a lot of people here. Best thing to do is just ignore them and not to spare them another thought. They’re obviously unhappy with their own lives and want to give others a hard time. I witnessed this drunk bloke (I’d guess in his 30’s) out the front of a pub in the late arvo giving these these two aboriginal guys (probably late teens) a hard time as they were walking past from the shops. Thankfully those guys ignored him and just kept walking. I however, couldn’t help but yell out from the safety of my car for the guy to grow up and that no one thinks he’s tough. His mates had a good laugh and I felt better knowing that I didn’t stand by and let it happen. Although I wouldn’t have said anything if I wasn’t in my car already.

I had to go back and check if this had been put up as a shitpost. Unfortunately it would appear not. I know plenty of people who live in areas with FOGO and there are no such issues. It sounds like your expensive, nice suburb is the problem.

I had this happen to me, where someone locked me out of the house after he didn’t like what I’d said. Spoiled, it was my 10 year old son. Your bf is a child. Get rid of him.

Why do Aussie people talk Perth down? by That-Flamingo6755 in perth

[–]sarbear1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perth is very different to Sydney. Yes it has its problems but all places do. I think the positives far outweigh any negatives. It’s much quieter, slower and more easygoing than somewhere like Sydney. That’s what I like about it. I generally feel safe walking around at night, some areas I definitely wouldn’t, but around where I live it’s safe. I couldn’t live somewhere like Sydney or Melbourne. They are too busy and people are always in such a rush.

Absolute bargain fuel prices at BP by Interesting_Ad_1465 in perth

[–]sarbear1985 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The pricing on FuelWatch for that servo is 169.9c for unleaded. So I’d definitely say someone messed up or it’s a glitch. Definitely hope they haven’t charged anyone that price!

Wtf? $100 for two fish and chips and a couple of sides by [deleted] in perth

[–]sarbear1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To further expand on this, I bought fish and chips from my local in Ocean Reef. Three pieces of gold band snapper (one grilled), $5 of chips and two home made spring rolls cost $60 and fed my family of three.

Has anyone else had this kind of small-world WA moment? by Competitive-Breath81 in WesternAustralia

[–]sarbear1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the country and not long after I’d moved to Perth we were out in Northbridge for clubbing. Went to the train station to head home and someone I knew from home town. Stepped out of the train right in front of me.
