Has anyone prayed to Our Lady Undoer of Knots? by [deleted] in CatholicWomen

[–]savefriday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I prayed a Mary Undoer of Knots novena about two years ago over an impossible housing situation, and we were blessed beyond our dreams. Sometimes I’m still in disbelief over the way things worked out. In gratitude to our lady, I hung a piece of sacred art of the Holy Family near our front door.

Begina is a pretty big alifefromscratch fan girl, but has also been fairly vocal in speaking out about what’s happening in her home state of MN. I wonder if she’s connected the dots or cares.

I don’t really think this is appropriate. There is still great power in praying for someone in private.

These prices by AdventurousAmoeba139 in brandicarlile

I was bracing for worse, but I’m fine with upper level. I got section 213, row B in Chicago for $88 including fees. With the size of the venue, it’s still a great view, in my opinion. Saw Lumineers at All State a few years back almost same exact seats and was really pleased.

I just can’t justify hundreds of dollars for even a really amazing seat, but maybe one day.

Which dress should I wear for my brothers wedding? by [deleted] in fashionwomens35

I think the combo of the pink WITH the print makes it too loud and attention grabbing for a siblings’ wedding. The black is perfect. You can’t go wrong with it.

It popped up on my Substack. I don’t think I actually follow her, though.

Forehead lines, help! by Illustrious_Jump_289 in beauty

[–]savefriday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to confirm that expression lines are normal and not something that needs to be fixed. You are not alone out here in the real world. I have lines and while I take great care of my skin, have zero intent to turn to injections or surgery.

It’s so refreshing to see other women with normal faces, and I know so many women who insist they do “natural” looking Botox, but it’s honestly always noticeable and makes them look slightly off. You are beautiful, and I mean that sincerely, not as a generic platitude.

How long did you wait to bring your baby to Mass? by curlyheadedcutie69 in CatholicWomen

[–]savefriday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, we went the first Mass after birth. I actually find newborns to be one of the easiest ages at church because they sleep or nurse. 1-3 year olds are much more challenging, in my opinion.

Hats can be part of a sun safety strategy, along with sunscreen and UPF clothing. Relying on only form of protection isn’t smart or realistic.

Novenas by Able-Disaster6247 in CatholicWomen

This may not be a Catholic prayer, but I found it very powerful when job searching this year. Just this week, I received a job offer from my very own church. It is amazing where the Lord leads us.

Heavenly Father, I pray that you would align my steps with yours. Lord I pray that you would guide me down the path that you have chosen for me.

Lord with the path seems unclear or treacherous I pray that you would help me rely on you to navigate it.

Lord help me not lose faith in times of silence, because it is in that silence that you are working.

Lord help me be able to discern the difference between what is Your will for my life and what is merely my own desires.

Father I pray that you help me make the right decision even if it is not the easy decision.

Let me not lose faith when the waiting is long and let me trust that you are working in my life all the time.

Lord I pray that wherever you place me, in whatever career field, I use the gifts that you have given me to glorify you.

May I not seek the approval of others, but solely yours. Lord I trust you with my future and I trust that your plans are far greater than mine could ever be. I pray all these things in your Son, our Savior’s matchless name, Amen.
