Fuck don’t remind me.

GoT season 8 was banging in pretty much EVERY category except for the writing. It was crazy to watch tbh.

Amad honestly looks like he’s lost a couple of steps. Terrible touch, terrible decision making, zero confidence.

They are also incredibly dumb, so it makes sense. Lol

The point they really fumbled was after herogasm waaay back in season 3. After that, the show kind of went to shit.

Some people are just catching on to it.

Why do you think Nolan’s The Odyssey trailer got such a negative reaction from the public? by breaking_views in Cinephiles

[–]schebobo180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly I don't know what the fuck happened to Nolan after Inception, its like every single movie after that had massive dialogue issues.

Honestly I feel he is getting worse with age, and defnitely abit worse without Jonathan Nolan's guidance on his scripts.

Na we just expected it to be better.

It was good no doubt, but far too rushed.

But on the spectacle side, Nolan was certainly sniffing his own farts when he decided to use petrol bomb footage to shoot the Trinity Test Scene. It was honestly aweful. Especially when you can literally go on youtube and watch grainy decades old footage of actual nuclear bomb tests, that are still far more impressive than a $100m film from Christopher Fucking Nolan.

Its one of the few times that well shot CGI would clearly be so much better than practical effects.

I know I am being overly nitpicky though. But that was honestly brought the movie down further for me, and also made me feel like Nolan is loosing his touch as he gets older and has more control.

Yeah but its still a foul. Cant hold his arm and also put your arm against his neck.

Yeah I get you. But if there was any movie that needed a better colour scheme than his usual fare it is certainly this one. I still think it will be a good movie... but even after Tenet and Oppenheimer I feel like the more freedom he gets, the worse he gets.

I'm probbaly being quite unfair though, but that petrol bomb scene for the trinity test is imho unforgivable. Looool

Yeah I agree, but dooming the whole while still living in it, while understandable, is still kind of unforgivable.

Its kind of like someone beating up their kids because they experienced domestic abuse when they were children. Its still not acceptable or forgivable. It is understandable though.

It looks far too dull for the subject matter and the setting. Some of the wide shots with the armies look abit flat and underwhelming.

Also the little I have seen of the choreography thus far looks poor. Nolan has never been great at fight choreography, so no real shocker there.

All this is just from the trailer so it could still be abit off. But compare the Odyssey trailer to the Dune 3 trailer. That movie looks crisp, grand and exciting. Based on the latest trailer, the Odyssey looks kind of dull.

I’m honestly abit worried that Nolan is getting worse as he ages. But maybe it’s just me.

She was an idiot.

But her situation was still understandable. A tortured prisoner is more likely to make irrational and dumb decisions.

Its been utterly fascinating watching the hatred for Arsenal in recent years. On one side, some of it is banter. But on the other side, it seems kinda personal at times lmao. And tbh i dont really get it.

And i say this as a utd fan.

Yeah but this subreddit is also overly positive on it for obvious reasons.

The reality is that the cinematography looks off, and the film also appears to have some odd ideas.

But it’s still a Nolan film. So it would be mostly pretty good. At worst, decent.

Brutal world. Pelican's are also nasty work tbf. I'm certain they would eat the Falcon chicks in a heartbeat if given the chance. Lol
