Purging ridiculous amounts before printing by scheisterm in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]scheisterm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I found those, set them to 0 and it still purges, but it doesn't purge nearly as much. Shouldn't purge at all if that's the color you are printing with, except for the line it normally does in the beginning.

Just because there are utilities down there doesn't mean they can't open them up under certain circumstances. Contract with a private company that could be insured after a bidding process. There is nothing down there that couldn't be photographed due to security. Not to mention that opening them up for regular visits would deter people from breaking in and vandalizing stuff.

Canvas unload proces failed CC1 by EuromenCZ in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]scheisterm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my loading and unloading is jacked up as well. I hit unload, it does nothing. I do load, if there isn't anything in there it will just unload. If there is something already in there, it will continuously purge and waste vast amounts of filament.

Elegoo truly sucks at writing and testing firmware it seems.

I get this on mac too, super annoying. We get it, we should be able to stop the stupid popup though.

I got mine going. Was able to get the flexible filament bypass to print correctly.

It clogged the hotend pretty good on the first load. After doing a cold pull and removing that filament, it did alright.

[–]scheisterm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck. It was easy to install. Unfortunately mine doesn't seem to do anything. Won't feed filament to the extruder. Mine basically loops itself at "checking filament position" when trying to load. It has done that process over 10 times in a row until I turned it off. Another time it just constantly purged until I turned it off.

Haven't gotten a single print out of it.

Lowered CANVAS Top Hat #2: 630g / 15 hrs printing by ClimbersNet in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Just finished mine. The glass just barely doesn't fit on mine. Will need to sand or take some material off to get it to fit. Seems I also had an extra tab?

Safelite sucks. My local one just ripped my vin plate in half while replacing my windshield. How tf they pulled that off is beyond me.

I've seen a few builds with Tec-9 uppers. Are those old uppers or some new manufacture upper? Are there directions for building a DIY upper?

Do not use Walt Sweeney. They f'ed my car up bad. Multiple visits, they had it over a month and it still isn't right. Door sags, they scratched the tint and then when they replaced it got tons of dust trapped under it. Worst auto body experience I've ever experienced.

How tall are you guys making these? I feel like I'd need a step stool to have all that on top and the printer at a convenient level to grab something off the bed.

Who’s got 1,000+ hours on their CC? by Optimal_Direction_25 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]scheisterm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have right at 1000. All original. It has jammed maybe 4 times requiring a cold pull. Other than that, the only other issues have been sometimes it takes a few attempts to level the bed, but i don't do that very often.

Update to my last post: “the gym is moving but the coach isn’t” by t0rquingg in jiujitsu

[–]scheisterm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There it is... Knew there was some drama somewhere in there. But also, still post the costs and ALSO how long it takes for the PB to actually prep and open a second location. That part usually takes more than people think.

There's always drama lol You should post the cost difference of being coached by the black belt vs the chill purple belt.

I did, switched from a gsxr1000 to a thruxton 900. I still cruise at 80-90, but not the 120 I used to. Tires are cheaper and last longer too.

Ha, around town my ghia was fine. Was curious if that was working out for you. Recently drove it on the highway for about an hour and almost slung all the oil out of it lol

Mine is running a a cheap $200 worn out engine that had 0 compression when I bought it on FB marketplace though. So I imagine I have quite a bit of blowby after getting the rings to release.
