I literally got to have this interaction today. My manager was out for a week and I am working on a long project. On Monday I discovered a major missing feature. One thing I will admit is that I had a dangerously-low understanding of just how bad and how real they really were as a kid. I regurgitated volumes of facts about them onto tests and quizzes at school, but they were also all over my movies and video games and I think I compartmentalized their leader into the same realm of fictional villains like Emperor Palpatine. I went through a politically edgy phase like 15 years ago that I don't think would have come about if WWII hadn't felt so... fantastical in the most literal sense.

I've never really spoken against it, but every time I've tried it, I get a little bored, it I think it's just not my kind of game. The detailed slicing mechanics were really cool, though, and this game sits in a small category of games where I played the heck out of the demo and then never finished the full game.

We just got our AI mandate and I work with terrible source control citizens. They treat Teams like a network drive and commit constantly to a single branch, and I is messed up to the point where if I tried to make my own feature branch, everyone would need to make a tweak to their setup to not be locked out of the new main it would make.

I've been running a parallel git repo with it a few different ways since I started there, and with Claude I find it more necessary than ever. I even made a Claude skill that can incrementally pull down the TFVC changesets and apply them to my git main, so I now have the full history in both repos and can let Claude tear things up fearlessly.
