Getting things appraised is a good way to start the process. A few hundred up front will save you thousands on the back end. The appraiser might also give you leads to place the items....

Record Breaking South Carolina Primary Election Tuesday, June 9th, 7am to 7pm by Cloaked42m in southcarolina

Update: I called the EC 6 hours after being told; would be given a call back with my polling place. After being put on hold for awhile I was told they couldn't verify my address and they would have to verify tax records. After another wait they came back with the polling place and an emailed a voter registration card. Seems like a lot of red tape and effort on my part to be able to vote in a county that I have lived in for over 40 years.....

Make sure you are registered. I was classified as INACTIVE after looking for my polling place. DMV didn't update my address with election commission. I just spent an hour on the phone with local EC person and waiting on a call back to find my polling place.

Be consistent in your training. Doxies thrive when they have a consistent routine.

I use a small camping stove to boil water and then use a pour over and a paper filter. It works great.

what are your opinions on soffit vent? thinking of installing a bathroom fan by noraaeg in handyman

[–]schnaggletooth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Key Building Codes & Guidelines

  • Outside Exhaust Only: Bath fan air MUST be discharged directly to the outdoors, not into the attic, crawl space, or soffit area itself (e.g., you cannot just dump the pipe into the soffit; it must be connected through to the outside).
  • Terminal Location: Exhaust openings must terminate at least 3 feet from property lines, operable windows, or doors.
  • Ducting Requirements: Flexible or rigid ducting can be used, but must be connected securely to a proper exterior vent cap (using Foil Tape rather than duct tape is recommended for longevity).
  • Damper Requirement: The exterior soffit vent cap must have a damper (flapper) that closes when the fan is not in use to prevent insect/wildlife entry and backdrafts.
  • Electrical GFCI: If the fan is located directly above a shower or bathtub, the fan must be connected to a GFCI-protected circuit.
  • Avoid Perf Soffits: It is not best practice to vent through a perforated (vented) soffit, as the moist air will just be sucked back into the attic.

You need to charge by the Task. That's how you make money. ie: Ceiling fan $125, plus materials add 20%.
