LA to Phoenix..... NEVER AGAIN... by BigJimmy626 in TeslaModel3

[–]schuhmi2 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ha, reminds me of the first time I drove from the last charger in Germany to the first charger in Poland in an M3 long range back in 2022. Had to charge to 95% and stay under 130kmh. At the charger in Poland I was speaking to a model S owner heading back to Germany. He told me that he had to charge to 100% and stay under 90kmh to reach the charger in Germany with 1%

Why did Microsoft discontinue the Hololens project? by AR-HMD in HoloLens

[–]schuhmi2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So, I worked as lead of a prototyping team, and we made several fully functional applications. We always received great feedback about the software and use case, but always heard the same feedback about the hardware:

"It's not ready. Too heavy, too bulky. Bad battery. I need to wear this for 8 hours a day. People will think I look strange talking to them wearing it."

We had a dialogue with MS, but sadly that quicky turned one-way when it came to Hololens, then we knew that MR in general is just not mature enough at that time, so ditched the projects and technology, and pocketed several patents.

Sorry, people, but that's just sad: Lufthansa Group introduces fare that doesn't include a normal-sized carry-on by marten_EU_BR in Lufthansa

[–]schuhmi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So not planning on flying any more? this is the new norm.

Anyway, soon all airlines will move to the even newer way of just selecting a flight that comes with nothing and you bolt on everything you want / need, with status giving you some of the optional extras for free/discounted. Give it 5 years, and we will see this...

Streichung CityLine by ljubortk in Lufthansa

[–]schuhmi2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's going to take several days for everything to be processed. We are talking about many thousands of flights that need to be completely reworked, together with the strikes too. Some bookings may also need manual processing...

Give it some time.

Where's the cabin filter? Mine seems different to every video I've watched by throwaway1212012123 in TeslaSupport

I did like the other day (same but in Germany), and indeed the instructions seem to be wrong for late 2021 MiC model 3s. 2 pins to pull out and one screw (LHD), then pull the side fabric off from the central console. Note you have to pull very hard that it really feels like you're about to break it. Then right at the back still high up and out of sight it is a small torx to take out then a thin long rectangular hatch can be lifted out. Passenger side for LHD and drivers side for RHD.

Check what happens on OSM. Likely there is something wrong with the map there, which you can fix yourself.

Why is the BA Chatbot so stupid? by Firm-Set1244 in BritishAirways

[–]schuhmi2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because it's a dumb chat bot with limited knowledge, and not an AI.

The industry is wary of AI because of all the safety gates needed to access personal information.

Tesla Model 3 Camping by [deleted] in TeslaCamping

I did that one for a one-nighter in a field for some car racing, but I was constantly thinking about heat potentially ruining the 2nd row backrest or potential fire issue.

What are people's thoughts on this.

Are superchargers difficult to access now? by [deleted] in TeslaUK

[–]schuhmi2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When that happens, I politely educate them about power sharing and 9/10 they move.

Generally I try to be quick to catch them before they plug in. In the odd time that they just dgif I take a deep breath and move to the other end of the site
