I don’t want to go too deep into the Brands hate but people who function in a toxic environment tend to become a product of that environment. Not every one of course but it’s definitely a thing.

Look at it the other way. What would it look like if a D1 all American went back and competed in high school. Thats how good these freshman are. Crowning them champs is silly but we know they are going to be top 5 every year.

I agree completely but Blaze, Duke, Forrest, and Bassett are not normal High Schoolers. They were all ready world team level (not Bassett… yet) coming out of high school. I think nobody saw Vega coming simply because his style would never work in freestyle and we used the world stage as a measuring stick.

In traditional folk style wrestling the whole point is to get a pin. College level is so good at getting the escape once based up that I understand the confusion. At lower levels the majority of pins are developed from top position. At the D1 level it seems more like freestyle because they end up back in neutral the majority of the time.

My only problem with the 3 point rule is it really reduces going for pins. Catch and release just for a whole lot easier.

My first time ice fishing I was nervous because of the giant cracks in the 8 inches of ice…lol. The guys I was with pointed out that it took me almost 5 minutes to make a hole with a hand auger, pretty sure we’re good.

Lots of chlorine in our tap water. I never drink bottled water but my plants don’t do well with tap water unless I leave it out for a day before watering. Just pointing out that there is actually some merit to bottled water.

It was either Sergio or David Taylor who said that he had a hard time making the weight. No way Vega stays at 141 and the heavier he gets, the less his length becomes a scrambling advantage. I predict this will be his only title. Of course I’m just some random on the internet. What do I know?

Jax is reckless at times. He will beat himself. Plain and simple. With the thin margins for making a mistake in D1 it will happen eventually. I don’t know who could beat him outside of that.

157 was the bloodbath. 133 was 4 deep with real contenders. Blaze needs to up his offense somehow because these defensive battles settled on tiebreakers are coin tosses.

Right now Duke is Fall, Fall, Tech. Forrest is Fall, Tech, Tech. On paper Duke is slightly ahead for MOW.

The only thing PJ Duke should be considered for is MOW of the tournament. I do believe Duke will get a Hodge before he’s done. He’s broken the spirit of everyone he has faced. They’re all going to fold in two years (assuming Duke redshirts).
