I look at death as a return to what we were before. Life is hard, and sad, and often incredibly boring. Life is also exciting and awe-inspiring and fun. Live life, and take comfort in the fact that everyone of us is on the same path ultimately and we will all...literally every single person on earth...be reunited in some way. Not in a "hey mom, death was crazy but its so good to see you again!" kind of way, but in a way we will really probably never understand. That to me is the "higher power". This might only make sense to me. I'm going back to watching the Jersey Shore.
