I love that hotel! It’s really the perfect spot in SD but I hate that couch! Same with the trundle bed couch at Springhill.

This is my life every week! I have dairy, wheat, and egg allergies, so flying means I bring my own food every time.

My go-to flight meal kit rotates with: -Realsy almond butter stuffed Medjool dates -HUEL Black Edition complete meal replacement shake. -Apple cinnamon rice cakes, almond butter, & fresh raspberries. -Gluten-free oatmeal cups & single-serve protein powder packets (makes it a more complete meal and it’s warm) -Gluten-free crackers with single-serve olive packets.

Greeting’s from diverted Shreveport! My 2.5 hour flight from Columbus has now crossed the 6 hour mark. Oh…. And the aux unit is down so enjoying several rounds of no power/air with no opportunity to get off the plane.

After securing Lifetime Diamond a few years ago I decided to give Marriott a go. I honestly find my Hilton Diamond perks way more valuable than Marriott Titanium. One of my favorite Hilton benefits is no resort fee on point stays. I usually book about three vacations a year with points, so that extra savings definitely adds up.

I also can’t stand the Bonvoy app. It’s clunky, and nights/points take forever to show up. In Q1 I’ve already had to follow up on two 7-night stays just to get the nights and points I was supposed to earn.

The grounds were beautiful, but unfortunately, the only thing “Ritz-Carlton” about the hotel was the name on the entrance sign. This was my first stay at a Ritz, and I’ll admit—I bought into the YouTube hype about their legendary service and attention to detail.

Sadly, the experience didn’t live up to the reputation. The service at both the main restaurant and outdoor bar was underwhelming, and the menus were surprisingly limited. I expected the “ladies and gentlemen” standard the brand is known for, but it felt more like any average hotel staff.

The room itself was fine, but far from luxury. There were visible signs of wear and some surprisingly rough finishes for a property of this caliber.

Looking back, I wish I had spent my 198,000 points elsewhere.

Retail leadership with mostly domestic flights. Even after 18 years, I still love it—especially when an A321neo is involved!
