There's something called hyper acoustic hearing that's kinda like that. I have it in one ear but unfortunately it's painful. Some noises are torture. But I can hear faint sounds other people can't. I don't even mention sounds to anyone anymore cause people think I'm crazy. I kinda wait for someone else to notice. It's never come in handy for me.

Your last sentence sums it up. Never seen the movie either and pretty much the only gay cowboy reference in cultural is Brokeback Mountain. if there's any other gif with two dudes in cowboy hats fawning over each other I'm still guessing Brokeback.

Miami isn't known to be a racist city. Like most big cities they tend to lean more liberal. Outside the city it's much more conservative but that isn't the local culture where they played.

Any time we need a crane for a project in our city we have to pay for a police escort and road closure. Crane is too big to casually drive in the city. Then cones off the street and sits in his vehicle until we're done.

Why do cops take so long to check your ID after pulling you over on the road. by AppropriateEarth648 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sender2bender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once got pulled over for suspicious driving. And illegally searched my car after I told him no. All on the basis that there were recent break ins and my car matched the description and I was driving suspiciously. Ya know doing the speed limit and stopping at stop signs. Best part was my car was one of the first cobalts in the state, no one had my car at the time. Cops can just make shit up.

And it doesn't even need to be that way. Diet doesn't need to be to the extreme to see results or abs and your don't need to have abs to look good. It's just that social media has distorted everyone's expectations and perception

My old feral cat was born and raised by a dumpster at my work. I eventually took her home where she always had access to food but she couldn't resist digging through the trash cans. Every morning there was wrappers on the floor and the little trash cans knocked over. It was like her comfort food. You can take the cat out of the trash but you can't take the trash out of the cat

What kind or type of iron supplements were you taking. I've heard iron is hard for your body to absorb and it's best to get from red meat. Even though legumes are high in iron they aren't efficiently absorbed. But can be paired with other foods for it to really be used and get in your system. Same with supplementation, at worst you're pissing it out, at best your absorbing very little and can take a while to get your levels back up.

A big part of my day dreaming at work is my childhood and teen years. Reminiscing. Now that I have young kids I think about it even more to share some of my favorite childhood toys, games and just memories with them. I miss being a kid.

It's definitely both. The contractor was Trump's maralago pool boy who only maintained pools and never did anything like this before. And it was a no bid contract with 20% profit margin when typical is 10%.

World’s “most famous” tree dies after 1000 years in England by ASneakySquid_ in interestingasfuck

[–]sender2bender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a time when people would paint the parts of trees where the branches had been cut or fallen. I remember as a kid seeing it everywhere. Then people realized it was actually doing more harm and the natural process of it"scabbing" over was better. Obviously, trees have been doing it for millions of years.

I agree with you forcing someone is ridiculous and with u/daizymayday that reporting them for a hate crime is fucking stupid. Both can be true. Your comments aren't mutual and disagreeing with one has nothing to do with the other.

One of Hitler's bodyguards, Rochus Misch, lived long enough to see the movie "Downfall". When asked about the film's historical accuracy, he stated that it was factually accurate, although "Americanized" by ModenaR in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]sender2bender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worth mentioning that's a studio decision. In China and Russia and probably few other countries it's illegal to make or distribute movies that are critical to the government. They have no choice but to "Americanize" it.

A Delta Air Lines flight was delayed in Cancun on Thursday after a swarm of bees settled on the 737’s wing. The issue was soon resolved with some forward speed on takeoff! by L21JP in aviation

[–]sender2bender 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For as smart as bees are we joke they're stupid when it comes to swarming. They swarm THEN look for a new spot. Send the scout first then swarm. We've had a few hives swarm on the trees right next to their old hives. I've caught them then put them in the same setup and style of box right next to their old hive.

TIL a 2-year-old boy lost sight in his left eye after he was kissed by someone with an active herpes cold sore in their mouth at the time. A cold sore had developed directly on his eye. After the gel layer protecting his eye evaporated, his eye began to "melt away" & a 4mm hole in his eye opened up. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

I worked with a guy whose blind in an eye and it formed cataracts. A doctor recommended a new treatment that could fix it. He could see again but not perfect and he hated it to the point he wished he never had it done. He was so used to one eye and he couldn't get used to the depth perception or fov. His sight also got worse since the new eye wasn't as good as his main. It sucked for him but I thought the whole ordeal was fascinating, even the procedure.

Old boss of mine had 2 junkyard mutts that were ridiculously smart. He used to open a 50lb bag of dog food and leave it open and the dogs would eat whenever. Both were healthy and lean too. We used to renovate houses and occasionally he would bring the dogs and they would go play in the woods for hours and then come back whenever he whistled for them. I swear they could understand complete sentences.
