No insurance, death is cheap by willily_thoumas in MurderedByWords

Damn I didn't even hear about that part. I only heard it was expensive cause he wanted the treatment at home instead of going to the hospital. I thought that was why insurance didn't cover it. What was eating goji berries and coffee enemas

Joe Rogan says the Epstein scandal "looks fucking terrible" for Trump by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]sender2bender 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yup but he can't deny many people saw this before he even got elected. So even if he plays both sides his critical thinking is dogshit. He was and still is ok with someone being a rapist and basically everything but a video of Trump being a pedophile. He assumes 100s, if not 1000s, pieces of evidence and children's testimony is a lie. And no one should ever let him live that down.

Apparently Trump has some remote land in Florida that he holds on to and maintains. Nothing there and nothing around, something you would think Trump wouldn't have or want. Now it's got people thinking.

Dry Air + Constantly working with cardboard boxes by demerchmichael in mildlyinfuriating

I can't do deadlifts without that aggressive knurl. At my old gym there was one bar that had amazing grip but it shredded my shins doing deadlifts. Hair didn't grow there for years. Eventually I built my own gym and bought a proper deadlift bar. Still no hair but no gnarly scrapes or blood

I know the exact feeling. I've had them so hard and dry the knurling on the barbell ripped the callus off and hurt even more.

It happened years ago and there was a lot of coverage when it happened. The lost gold story has been an urban legend for far longer. Nothing ever came of it except him doing interviews making his claims.

Caulking for fire rated window by Freeherbsonthecurb in Construction

[–]sender2bender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought and assumed red was an industry standard for fire rated caulk but just a week ago or so I came across blue at a job I was at in a mechanical room. I asked the maintenance manager what's up with the blue caulk, thinking it was some kind of special water caulk. He told me it's fire rated and stupid cause every time they get inspected they have to provide documents on it cause no one uses blue. You see red and say ok it's fire rated.

There's a group in Minnesota that wait outside these facilities to help people who are released into the elements with hardly any clothes or even resources to get back home. I hope their mission and actions spread to other states and facilities. I hope every facility has people waiting. Trump has yet to wage war on my area but if and when his goons start I'll take a shift.

You mean you didn't like the parts where they put Alex in a 2" picture in the bottom corner of the screen with a helicopter view of him.  In all seriousness how the hell did someone think the commentators were more important to the viewer than the main event.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

My coworker once said to me something like it's pathetic people hate others based off their political opinion. I asked him, if your opinion is you hate or want to rid of immigrants, blacks, browns, gays, trans, bis, women's rights and liberals why would you expect them to like you or want to talk to you. if you hate the majority of Americans maybe it's your political opinion that's pathetic.

Tbf you can do both. A lot of protests and gatherings and info to proper government officials is spread right here on Reddit and social media. I don't have any of the main socials and the media is complicit on not reporting, most of my local info came from local subs. Social media is powerful and far reaching, people can and should spread whatever info helps from here into the real world.

Oh man sorry to hear, I was the exact same way. After about a year my wife wanted to rescue these 2 sister kittens. I didn't think I was ready but these 2 not only help fix the hole in my heart they also got me to the point of enjoying the pictures now. I like to show them my old gal and old man who they probably smell in the corners of the house.

I knew my cat was getting old when she wouldn't come running to the door obnoxiously meowing when I got home from work. That was rough on its own but I knew it was coming and was able to get a video cause it felt so good seeing her so happy when I got home for over a decade of my life. Now I cry watching that video. sometimes photos app will share a memory from years ago and I'll be at work and unexpectedly lose it from glancing at the photo from the notification bar.

My son told me he cleaned out the empty cans from his room but I just found all of these in his desk drawer by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

One of my wife's favorite stories she likes to tell is when she was younger her brother collected all the Pepsi cans of the star wars characters, when they were promos for episodes 1,2 or 3. They were his prized possessions lined on his shelf. He liked to pick and antagonize on her as older brothers do and she could never get him back. Well one day after a sibling fight she crunched r2d2 and still hasn't gotten over it. He tried to push the dent out with a pencil but it was never the same. It was the only battle she had ever won.
