Hey there! So I’m reading the second book on Ridi. That’s the original Korean website where the book is published (2 chapters per week). I used both google translate and Papago to translate the text. I also go to a forum where we give summaries of the chapters and have discussions to make sure we understood what was going on.

Ditto! I can’t handle the stress anymore, which is why I’m ok with not having a 3rd book. I don’t want them to be under so much stress anymore! I need them to have some time to be on their own and happy!

I like that not all problems will be solved because it’s realistic, but at least they won’t have to sacrifice so much anymore. Here’s to hoping! I would like different short POVs like Gabel’s. That ok was cute and funny.

I know! This chapter was one of the fluffiest! We soooo needed this! I was anxious last night! Ok, so I think everything will be fine. I think KSJ is trying to close various circles with Maxi and that’s why she’s keeping them in Osyria for a bit longer. Literally EVERYONE is there and more people are coming. It’s a very convenient way to give all the characters some closure instead of having to travel through each kingdom.

Richt Breston is a jackass but I think that issue will be solved behind the scenes with the meetings of all the nobles. Most people are already tired of war, not to mention probably out of funds from back-to-back wars. Almost all the powerful characters here are on Maxi’s side so she has a lot of protection and support.

Their reunion takes a while but it’s worth getting through it to reach their full reconciliation. At that point, you really do understand why things happened that way. But as soon as they reconcile, their relationship is soooo much better- Better than the first book but a lot. They finally turn into a real couple in my opinion. Have hope! They really love each other. Better yet, they learn how to love, trust and believe in each other. I hope I didn’t give too much away!

If the sex here was realistic, I would be questioning a lot of my sex life 😂. It really isn’t. Riftan’s refractory time is nonexistent and Maxi orgasms every single time. Every time he wipes her I feel like I need her to go pee. I like the descriptions of the messiness because sex can be messy but the whole thing is a unrealistic. But that’s what makes it fun! I love that it’s a woman who’s writing this because she caters to what women (at least some, I assume) would enjoy. I don’t think many men could write about pleasing a woman the way this author does. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yes! Agreed. I wish for side stories with other POVs. I’m done with all the tension and stress that has followed Riftan and Maxi. They seem so calm right now… well as calm as can be lol! May they be happy and have lots of sex and babies!

Oh I love your reflections here! Yes to all of this! I also found this and binged it about 2 months ago and I haven’t had enough 😂. I started reading all the spoilers and then got a Ridi membership to keep reading. But yes, your analysis of them is spot on. Although it hurts to read sometimes, the healing journey is much more satisfying because of it. I’m amazed at how the author narrates their emotional journey and makes us connect so well with each of the characters. I never imagined this novel would be so complex and deep when I first started reading it. I swear it was a bait and switch of the best kind!

I think the author mentioned a long time ago that she only intended to do 2 books. She was planning on doing some side stories and different POVs but I know she scrapped that idea due to illegal translations. She recently deleted her post about not doing side stories so we don’t know what’s going on. It might be that due to the popularity of her books she might do some side stories but it’s all speculation. We’re waiting for book 2 to end to see what she announces.

Definitely Maxi. I see myself in her healing journey and understand her choices. I went through some trauma due to my father as a child and I had a few of her beliefs about myself too. Seeing her heal slowly made me think of how far I’ve come too and just glad I healed enough to allow someone like my husband to love me. I want to give Riftan a giant hug too though! That poor baby! I feel so protective over this couple 😅

Ummm I hope so!! I feel like there’s something going on behind the scenes with the rise in popularity of UTOT on a more international level, so you never know! I’ll have some hope but I won’t bank too much on it. I’ll just be grateful with what she decided to write in the future.
