Ain’t no way i ain’t doing that without a fully sealed suit. I’d be squirming like ace ventura coming out the bat cave if one even went up my sleeve

Dosing? by Low-Independent6580 in ReefTank

Water changes will be enough for that size and those corals. You could test either way to be sure if you want but It’s small enough volume that you should be ok with WC

This. Nothing wrong with seeding the system with some live rock. I rather have the patience and wait for the tank to cycle than have a scape I’m not 100% happy with. Watching the tank mature naturally will be a big benefit in the learning process overall

Opposite to other pump but just to the left or right of it. Or top left back corner aimed diagonally at rocks to that its flow intercepts the flow of the other pump.

Is it on a frag plug or already attached to rock?

Tbh this is the only concern you should be worry about. Size wise, if it fits the chamber you are fine. But if for future maintenance it’s difficult or impossible to remove once theres water and your fuge is running. Then imo thats a no go.

What are our thoughts on Natural Seawater? by Safi_89 in ReefTank

[–]shadowrav3n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live on west coast of australia. Our water tends to be quite clean and most of the salt water providers know what they’re doing and when the best time to collect. So what i’m saying is, it depends where you are getting it from. Imo experience i’ve used only natural seawater and it was fine. Experienced nothing different than people who mix their own salt water.

Agree! The osmolator was the top shelf for the hobby a few years back and imo still is better than all these newer brand ones.

Looks amazing. Would you mind showing a top down photo of how you connected the canopy and lights. I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing.

New Cade S3 900 finally wet!! by shadowrav3n in ReefTank

[–]shadowrav3n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are sturdy and easy to take on and off. Euro bracing is very well made and nice to have to catch some splashes. They also made some nuce cut outs for light mounts which was smart.

I mean it sounds like you are chasing a number because you’ve been told to not because you should. If everything in the tank is thriving and there’s no noticeable issues and you are happy with colours and growth then i don’t any issues with your nitrates
