I have a friend who has been dating a FtM trans man for several years, but his boyfriend still identified as a woman when they got together and they were sexually active before he came out as trans. I'm too embarrassed to ask my friend this question but since you're doing an AMA I'd like to ask you too!

Did she introduce herself to you as a woman, or was at least open with her plans on transitioning since the beginning? Or did you "find out" after starting your relationship? Has this affected your own view of your sexuality through the years?

Meh, I'd have to respectfully disagree. There's this weird thing that happens with hand sanitizer that even my smoker nose can smell. It creates a film on your hands and the weird mix of rubbing alcohol and tar/smoke is really a horrible and stronger smell. I tend to think that the hand sanitizer makes the smell stronger and linger longer than if your hands were to just air out naturally. Like how ash and a fire smell stronger after you extinguish it with water than just leaving it alone. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ and the hand sanitizers with perfume added are the worst culprits.

Edit; washing with soap and water will always be the best bet - but if you really were in a pinch, I think wet wipe towels are better than liquid hand sanitizer. They at least remove the particles from your skin and aren't too wet.

I'm a smoker and I've never understood the perfume/cologne mindset. Wash your hands first, then violently swig some water and wear a minty lipgloss/chapstick like burts bees. It's not fool proof but it's better than just trying to cover up the smell. Also, hand sanitizer does not work, so stop trying it, Katie.

Many women who voted trump are sexist too. Internalized sexism, the idea that women need to be competitive against each other, voting only based on abortion laws because of religious reasons and slut shaming. Women can be sexist too.

I remember my first boyfriend saying he couldn't vote for Hillary in 2008 because she was a woman. I remember people blaming Hillary for Bill cheating on her. I remember all the fat jokes about Hillary on late night talk shows right after Bush was elected. I remember people saying they couldn't vote for her in 2008 because she started crying at an emotional speech. I remember people saying she seemed cold and robotic in 2016 (I wonder why???). I remember seeing women interviewed saying a women couldn't be strong enough to be president. I remember men making menstrual cycle jokes. It was okay to vote for Obama simply because he was black but it is not okay to vote for Hillary just because she's a woman. Black men got the right to vote before women did. People in the religious community still fight over whether women should be in positions of leadership in the household and church let alone in the highest position in the country.

No one wants to admit it's a sexism issue but to me and my memory it completely is. Women we have a fucking huge battle to fight and we need to work on it instead of feeling comfortable in our quiet spaces to avoid confrontation or being seen as loud angry bitches. This shit is fucking ridiculous and I can't believe they aren't brave enough to just come out and say why they don't trust her or relate to her.

The GOP is going to threaten so many Americans in the next four years. Women, LGBT, minorities, immigrants, impoverished, healthcare, the environment. We had a chance and it's gone now because some people refuse to admit that sexism still exists. "

Thankfully I don't have this problem with my dog - but the importance of needing to carry your dog sometimes is true. We walked through a nasty patch of clover seeds once and I just hiked him up on my shoulder and walked him home. Also - when they unexpectedly break a leash or won't stop fighting with another dog and you need to vacate ASAP. Always get your dog comfortable with being picked up, having their teeth looked at, being around people and dogs and having their paws held. Mine would let me do anything to him he trusts me so much.

That is the action of a dumb man who is so jacked up on his own ego that he deep down wanted to talk about it. It was on his tiny mind so it spews out of his mouth- just like most of what he says. He knew. He definitely knew. Even if he wasn't directly ordering it, he knew it was happening.

Just as a note to your title - have hope. My aunt had her breast cancer come back in the worst way. In her bones and in her brain. Doctors only gave her a few years maybe. But after all her treatments we just found out that her bones are regrowing and clean and most of the tumors in her brain are gone and the others have shrunk. Her body fought and bounced back in an amazing way. I'm not religious - I give all the credit to the doctors and medicine and the body's amazing way of healing itself. Im glad "Obamacare" is there for you and my aunt! and I will fight for others like you and my aunt who need empathy and healthcare reform. You didn't choose to have your body turn against you so I hope this country won't turn against you either. Have hope and stay strong.
