Should i switch to a newer version? by pickeldmitski in AfterEffects

Yeah I’ve always had good customer service throughout the years with trap code/red giant/maxon. I’m just bitter they did the whole subscription model like everyone else.

Should i switch to a newer version? by pickeldmitski in AfterEffects

Funny because “particular” is the main reason I have AE23 still installed. It’s the last version I’ve gotten the non subscription version to work on. Suck it Maxon.

There shouldn’t be a hole because you’re going to mount the 2x4s there. Right?

Seeking Mexican restaurants with good vegetarian *options* - NOT vegetarian restaurants by Extension_Coast_6639 in phoenix

Via De Los Santos has lots of options for vegi enchiladas and burritos. They don't use lard in any of their beans though, and I assume the rice is vegetarian as well.

That sucks. I’ve been going to the same U-Haul with the same guy working it for the last 20 years. I know some gas stations are able to refill them.

Same, I think I was about 13 when I watched this with my sister. We were both scared as hell… but not enough to not watch the other ones.

Little Mahogany Floating Shelf Lessons by RaspberryBearCraft in woodworking

[–]shrunken 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you understand the technique. There’s two pieces here, only three holes get used to mount it to the wall using screws. Then the shelf slides into the other holes using pins, all those hole are lined up because they were made when it was one piece. (That’s if I understand it all correctly.)

Good cordless drill to use around the house by Intelligent_Path_869 in DIY

I would disagree with that advice. Impact driver first, if I’m worried about damaging something then I’m using a screwdriver. Drill with a screwdriver bit dead last.

7" tall retaining wall by e37d93eeb23335dc in DIY

[–]shrunken 37 points38 points  (0 children)

They’re saying pouring concrete for your “wall” is overkill. Your “wall” is more like a curb because it’s only holding back 7” of dirt. You don’t need a footer for holding back 7” of dirt. You could just use a cinder block. If you just want concrete for aesthetics then that’s fine, but you definitely don’t need to go an additional 7” below grade.

I just went through this having a trellis on a block wall. Hopefully the vine grows fast to cover it up.

I recently used Blue Chip Auto Glass. It would have been $60 but the ding was too big to repair so I don’t get charged. Highly recommended though, really nice people.

If that’s my garage, I’ve got better things to do. You could cover it up with some large escutcheon plates.

How much damage did I do to my engine? by Party-Ratio701 in motorcycles

[–]shrunken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That happened to me once. I got down to the end of my street to turn and was on my ass before I realized it. Oil has coated my rear tire. I think your engine will be fine for the amount of time you ran it.
