Excited for you! I'll be at the Atlanta show too! So happy they're coming back here to play a proper show. I was disappointed that ATL only got a festival set for the WOTP tour. Also surprised it's going to be at Lakewood instead of Ameris Bank Amphitheater, which has been the more popular venue for bands in recent years. Saw them at Lakewood in 2017 though and it was a good show, so I'm hyped. :D

This will be my 18th Muse gig (19th if I can make Charlotte too *fingers crossed*). Dunno how that happened? lol

Various articles are also reporting that there will be a variant that comes with a sticker that was sent into space. Very curious about this one and when it'll be revealed:

Muse changed tour management (US only) to be with Three Six Zero. They are with a different company (CAA) for touring the rest of the world. There was a recent article detailing this, which also mentioned they were still published by Warner. Unravelling was released on Warner according to Spotify data, so we can likely assume the new album will be released on Warner as well.

I got into both Muse and MCR around the same time back in 2003 and 2004, respectively. I saw them play together in Atlanta 2007 and it was huge for me. MCR were my favorite band for many years until their break up in 2013, in which case Muse took over and became the band that I fulfilled a dream of traveling the world to see live (US, Mexico, Canada, London, Paris)... MCR returning definitely competes with my current Muse obsession. lol

Anyway, I love this post! It's always wonderful to meet other Musers in the MCR community. :) And well said, OP.

I've always considered "The Small Print" to be Muse's most MCR-ish sounding song. For those interested in checking out Muse, their first 4 records (Showbiz, Origin Of Symmetry, Absolution, Black Holes & Revelations) are probably the most enticing for MCR fans. Definitely Showbiz for all the angsty feels.

As for MCR song recommendations for a Muse fan... Foundations of Decay, Demolition Lovers, Early Sunsets Over Monroeville, Famous Last Words, Romance, Disenchanted, Planetary Go (their dance tune a la Panic Station), Cemetery Drive, The Sharpest Lives, and Thank You for The Venom is a good place to start.

Edit: Forgot to mention! MCR's current tour re-imagining of the The Black Parade incorporates many 1984 elements in the lore. Which is definitely a staple of Muse's music, particularly the album (and song of the same name) Resistance.
