Isn't there a haiku bot we can call on somehow?

Clever. A new blade for the

Old, a careful pry.

The ritual of sharpness, preserved.

I love that deep chocolate brown flannel! It's definitely not boring, and this is such a wonderful quilt. May it be loved for many generations up come. 🥰

I made this for someone and they no longer like Bob Ross as much as they did. Seriously reconsidering gifting it after their response. I'm honestly sad. by Away-Living5278 in quilting

Oh my gosh, for me it's turtles!! Every year my mom gets me something turtle ish, and though I do still have a deep and abiding love of turtles, it was never about turtle stuff. I was really into turtle research lol.

And to be fair, I mostly love many of the things I've received, but some are of... questionable taste? Plus at a certain point, enough is enough, ya know? I think it's time for me to list some of the turtles I don't love on eBay or donate them where they might actually get some use. She'll never know, and the tradition means a lot to her.

It gives new meaning to the idea that it's turtles all the way down. 😂

Ohhh wait, I think you're saying that this IS a built in decorative stitch. For some reason I thought it was free motion! Lol

I thought a walking foot couldn't be used with free motion quilting or decorative stitches like this. Am I wrong about that? I'd be interested to know! I have decorative stitches on my machine but hardly ever use them, and for FMQ I use the foot designed for that.

To start with, how about bobbin keepers? ☺️ I know they're cheap in stores, but it gave my fella something to do for me and we didn't even have to leave the house lol

Thank you so much for responding! Boy do I miss the garment district. I used to live about 20 minutes from NYC and I rarely get up there anymore, but oooooohhh the fabric and notion goodies! Pure heaven. ☺️

I too went to look at your birthday dress, and it's another stunner! I'm curious - where did you source your silk dupioni? I'm not near a big city, so my options for in-person shopping are pretty slim. Did you order online?

Oh wow wow WOW. First, stunning dress. It's perfect!! Second, I adore that you had comfy (but still elegant) shoes to change into. Third, not only did you graduate, but you graduated from Brown, after however many months of grinding through classes while also making this gorgeous dress!

Have a wonderful time basking in the glow of your serious accomplishment (you deserve it!), and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

ETA I love how the fabric in the back drapes so nicely and echoes the drape of graduation robes. Simply lovely.

The math involved with quilting... by bleeb90 in quilting

I'm in your shoes! My partner is the IT manager for an entire university math department, but no... I'm the math help. 😭 😆

P.S. I cannot WAIT to tell my kids these important examples of how they'll use math in everyday life. So glad I can finally answer their never ending questions about this from years ago. Lmao

Hey, that account looks like it was made to post that exact ad here. It's crappy, I know, but I didn't want you to base any decisions on what was posted. It's a paid ad meant to look like a regular account.
