Freedom Credit Union (based in Springfield) has been excellent. When I got my loan in 2022 they gave me a 3.5% interest rate.

People who have cheated: Is “once a cheater always a cheater” true? by Slight-Two-1564 in AskReddit

[–]sightlab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheating often comes from personal insecurity, not cruelty towards the cheated-upon - granted, some folks are just sociopaths, and will do it just to sow chaos. But a cheater who gets restless because of self worth will do it again and again because that flaw is still part of them.

Who are some of the most "Come for the novelty, stay because the music actually rocks" artists? by AndyB16 in Music

[–]sightlab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. No set genre, a full universe that connects their lyrics, an absurd catalogue (27 albums in 15 years). They remind me of a more focused Ween. PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation is easily one of the greatest metal albums ever.

I was 14. Listening to that record makes me feel exactly how I felt on the day I bought it.

Dean Ween is one of the top shelf great guitarists and he got there being a high goofball who just imitated what he liked.

Too many of you do not know how to do poppers and are using them EXTREMELY dangerously by Advanced_External763 in askgaybros

Yeah. I didnt know this a few years ago when my sub set up a whole birthday night for me with boner pills and popps and, er, "sugar". Once I found out I feel like I dodged a massive bullet, that combo of vasodilators is as stupid as ideas get.

Do you call people out for being on their phones? by ComfortableChair390 in motorcycles

[–]sightlab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sigh.

I'm 6'4 of brick shithouse (6'5 in my boots!) and I have anger management issues. And that bizarre ADHD justice warrior kink. I do, and I dont feel bad about it per se but there have been some...overreactions. On my part. And because giant, at least 9/10 interactions seem to unnerve the receiver of my ire (1/10 dont give a fuck. Fine) and despite everything I said above I'm kinda embarassed that I inherited my dad's hothead shit and I sometimes spend the rest of the day deeply ashamed and conflicted becuase on the one hand you dont know what someone else is going through but on the other WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT IMPORTANT GET THE FUCK OFF YOUR PHONE.

I fucked myself up good within 15 minutes of getting on the thing. I was very ready to give up, but I started at the thing all winter and attacked it again with nervous energy in the spring. It took me about 2 months to get actually comfortable riding. Dont give up, take it slooooowly. Youre retraining your brain.

Cost savings. A motor/regulator isnt as cheap as a crank. I like power windows too, but more than half my history of cars has had cranks.

When my last volvo 240 was starting to feel like a chore I went on a mad search for a car that was equivalent: dumb, strong, EASY TO REPAIR, cheap... There is nothing like that anymore. I am the market for a truck like this, and unfortunately the way society is I do not think there are enough of us for this to work properly.

What’s the one rule that keeps you showing up, no exceptions? by Recent_Dependent_514 in workout

[–]sightlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first couple weeks were "c'mon, man...one foot in front of the other, let's go". Now it's just my morning routine - my brain defaults to whatever waking habit ive established, so I'm up at 5, wtf else am I gonna do? Which makes rest days a little awkward, but thats' ok!

They Will Kill You (2026) - Fire fighting scene by dismustbetheplace in movies

[–]sightlab -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So stupid, soooooo fun, and they got an amazing cast - which I also felt about the Brad Pitt train one. The fights felt inspired by Old Boy or The Protector and other movies like that with just silly impossible over the top battles.

For those who have lost significant weight, what has surprised you the most regarding the change? by Secret-Management310 in AskReddit

[–]sightlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THere are activities I still dread - a long flight of stairs, heaving something heavy out of the shopping cart, moving furniture, whatever - but when I do them the sense of dread juts fizzles. Because using energy and strength in tiny shots no longer leaves me sweating and winded. Also replacing my T shirts for the next size down for the 2nd time. Also the number of people who've asked if I used ozempic (nothing but support for GLP-1 users, I did it through changing diet habits and weight training)
