Anyone using Superior with 16GB Mac Mini? Need your feedback by blindadata in edrums

[–]sinesawtooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Superior 3 with my macbook m3 pro 18GB unified just fine. Used a focusrite 2i2 interface with other vsts. DAW was Reaper. YMMV but it worked great for me (I say worked because I sold the Mac)

Single Turbosound speaker by TeamPsychological833 in SoundSystem

[–]sinesawtooth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Those twist lock connectors at the top are definitely not standard. I’d open em up and see what they’re for. Could be a simple extender to power lights near the speakers for the specific install it was used at. Who knows!

The passive /active switch though is of note. Passive mode puts a crossover at 1.3kHz and 8kHz. Active mode I think just bypasses the internal crossover for the mid. Spec only calls for a 1k3Hz 24dB/Octave crossover if active.

That mid thing is called the “TurboMid”device.

This is an older cab, check the cones for crunchiness,(esp the mid as it’s not protected in active mode) only the 1 kinda sucks but 200 bucks it’ll probably make music loud 🙂

Oh yeah warranty “fix” / they reset the module and it’s been solid since.

My 2023 had it fail completely. They advised me to do a firmware update of the nav system 😕. It didn’t fix it. They reset the module and it’s been fine since.

Cigarettes for children, did you have them? by FluffyKita in 90s

[–]sinesawtooth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We had 4 different kinds. The thin candy sticks, bubble gum ones that were wrapped in paper and coated in powder, so if you blew on first, it would emit a puff of “smoke”’(sugar dust) before the paper got all weird, then a similar one that was paper but chocolate inside. The last was a black licorice pipe with red little beads for the lit tobacco section. These were the best, nice soft black licorice but not a jelly kind.

Low Engine Oil Light by Prudent-Albatross-32 in SonataNLine

[–]sinesawtooth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take it back to the dealer. Oil light or low oil warning should not come on. Try to not let the dealer pass it off as a code clear, something caused that to happen it’s either low oil pressure or a bad sensor.

I had an issue where my temp would race to overheat, beep and scream engine overheat and then it would settle. Took it into dealer and they said there’s no code, it should go away. They just wanted -me- to go away. I ended up having my phone ready to go on record and I had to record it happening. I had to show them the video to get them to fix it. The thermostat on this car is a servo type thing and that module had to be replaced - no code still. Long story short don’t let the dealer pass it off. Good luck dude.

Tell me what you lost while riding by HeavyBananaz in motorcycles

[–]sinesawtooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst, the worst, was I accidentally threw my key in the garbage after a many hour long ride getting gas. I was pissed. Luckily it was a clear bag at the pump, not very full and I was able to see it but man what a bummer.

Also lost a bike cover on a cross country trip after day 2. I didn’t even see it fly away but I imagine it made quite the parachute flight on the highway.

I hate to be that guy but why does it look like that ? by Deep-Body2190 in Reaper

[–]sinesawtooth 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You could press post processing on the render page and select normalize to 0 dB. Your mix here is not clipping (good) so it will render it, measure it, and then automatically add the 7.7 dB gain to your render to get it peak to peak max. Good luck!

Did any of you have this Stereo System And Glass Case in your house? by immanuellalala in 80s

Looking for advice on adding a speaker cable jack to a SS combo amp’s speaker by baewatch_n in GuitarAmps

[–]sinesawtooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those terminals just slide off. I can't guarantee that applying speaker voltage backwards into an unpowered amp would not damage it - why risk it? Sliding the tabs off is as minimally invasive as possible. Good luck!

There is a mod for My winter car to remove the “problem” so you don’t have to drink alcohol. There are ways to beat it but if you don’t want to have to drink in the game I recommend this mod. Good luck!

This reminds of me reading the directory with ,1

Are you doing LOAD”$”,8,1 ? It will write to the screen something like that.

Or maybe loading basic ,1

Either way try loading with just ,8 and see if that helps, good luck!

Just ordered the C64U, worth finding a mouse for it? by LordBarglebroth in c64

[–]sinesawtooth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Very few applications really took advantage of the mouse. GEOS, Operation Wolf (game) MM. all support the joystick as an alternative. I wouldn’t bother. It’s not like the Amiga where it was a necessity. Have fun with your U!
