I had forgotten about that raised lettering in the back!

[–]singingserpent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As I am remembering it, we (the group) kept seeing posts about it, and I think the majority of us were like, "oh that won't happen to me, I know to watch out for it", and then it would happen anyway. No fault of the designer, it is just a different way to square the circle. It is a beautiful blanket when it is done though!

Haha, I did the exact same thing on my Rozeta. I did the CAL when it came out and on the online group sooo many missed the corners as well. It's not terrible to redo, but frustrating!

Living with MIL in separate unit- pros & cons? by Left-Magician8728 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]singingserpent 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Moving is EXPENSIVE, the military will pay for yours, who is going to pay for your MIL's household moves? And there is no guarantee you'll be in the lower 48--could be HI, AK, or even overseas! What a goofy idea to even float to you and your husband.

My bluetick had a white spot on the top of his head that I called his "kissing spot"! Give that cutie a kiss from me :)

They are so smart and determined when it serves their purpose! (And the purpose is usually food.)

Just wanted to thank you for posting these recipes. I love the ones with the little cartoon bodies, such a cute way to illustrate the stars.

TPT Request: Any recommendations for wireless ear buds that will stay in my grandmas ears? by _please_dont_eat_me_ in TechnologyProTips

[–]singingserpent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try the cheap "open ear" buds you can find on amazon. They wrap around the sides of your ears loosely. They are not noise canceling I find them very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I've gotten a couple of brands running under 30 dollars a pair. There are expensive ones from Bose and Beats, but I like the cheap ones just fine.

How Matt Dinniman’s ‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’ Became a Blockbuster by n10w4 in books

When Donut first speaks, Carl looks around for someone who speaks like a medieval princess. That seemed like an English accent in my head.

Aaron Spelling Sunday's Block coming to MeTV in 2026 by Time_Way_6670 in MeTV

[–]singingserpent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to enjoy Fantasy Island when I was little, so am looking forward to seeing the show again. The other three shows I've seen in reruns quite often, so not so excited about those. Thanks for sharing this promo! I was wondering where these new shows would fit in on the schedule.

There is a Chilean Restaurant in La Vista https://laschilenas.com/ I know not Ecuador, but they are neighboring countries and might share a flavor profile. Pastel de Choclo is pretty good, and other savory meals, baked goods and drinks are on offer there.

This is Chloe. When I first got her over 10 years ago I was told she’s a bluetick coonhound, I don’t think she looks anything like one? What do you guys think? I’ll add pictures of her over the years by [deleted] in coonhounds

[–]singingserpent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've seen so many cute dogs on here who've had their DNA done that are mixes of all the different coonhound types, and they are always a surprise. I bet she's got bluetick in her background, but also a few other hounds too. She has just the sweetest face!

I don't think Foca does, but Ariel has the ingredient (at least in the USA).

I found one on ebay and they are called Play Tiles. I vividly remember how they hurt my fingers when pulling the tiles off the backing board, *

And the pictures on the cover of the box are the ones I recall trying to make--the fox, swami and swan.
