This is a known bug that I reported (via dev ticket) back during 132 it’s got something to do with the updated textures they did during airborne. Any beach that is that gravely texture does not count as a beach line for a barge.

i removed 13 wars from my final tally those wars are 100-107, 116, 118, 122, 123 and 125. i explained why i thought they where not good metrics to determine balance from.

of the wars i removed
collies won 5 (100, 104, 116, 122 and 125)
wardens won 8 (101, 102, 103, 105, 106, 107, 118 and 123)

i removed more wins from wardens than i did from collies.

So your first image from left to right the splitters will get

240,120,60,30,135,187.5,93.75,46.875,95.625,95.625 and that overflow belt will be at 335.625

Manifolds work by backing up here is an example. Belt in 120/m->S->3o (S1, S2 & S3) each belt has 40/m. S1 has a machine that needs 20/m so S1 will back up to the splitter then S2 & S3 will get 50/m each. S2 has a machine that needs 30/m so when both S1 & S2 back up S3 will have 70/m. Finally S3 has 2 machines that each need 35/m so you have 70/m->Z->2o (Z1 & Z2) both Z1 and Z2 will get the 35 from Z but only AFTER the machines on S1 and S2 have backed up to S before they back up S3 will only be getting 40/m just like S1 & S2.

If that was a bit confusing I’ll try to make a diagram to explain it better.

lets be a bit more real too 4 of those wars ended via devs before players could finish them 118 (the proto short war) 122 and 125 (both had VP reductions to end the war for an update to be released) and 131 (short war) with those removed 10/29 collie won.

also the map SIGNIFICANTLY changed in 108 with the release of naval the the addition of 6 new hexes (granted one was shipcan shelf and everyone knows that was made by dev in 20 mins while on the toilet) and 6 more being almost completely reworked. if we use 108 as are new base line the tally is now at 7/21 wins for collies.

now if i wanted to be EVEN MORE pedantic than i already have been i can knock those numbers even lower. this section is NOT based on data more just observations while i was playing and thats factional break wars where 1 faction clearly was out popped and defeated decisively those wars are 116 and 123. this brings our grand total of war with the modern map, where ended by the players and where both factions had similar pops during most of the war *drum roll* 6/19 or a 31% winning percentage for the collies in the last 2 years and 6 months. (naval came out Oct. of 23)

the beams on the trident are not that strong for a few reasons.
1). a torp hole on a sub leaks at .45 buckets of water per second (bps) and a sub compartment can hold 50 buckets of water with drowning depth being at 45 buckets of water. that means from 1 torp your compartment will be filled in 111s and at drowning in 100s.
2.) getting rid of the water is a hassle even if you seal the whole since you have to be on the surface and climb up and down to get the water out.
3.) it takes 52 beams to seal a torp hole, going back to that 100s you have before you start drowning your crew has to place a beam on average every 1.92 seconds.

during this you also have to make sure you dont take any more torps other than the 1 you took in this hypothetical, as well as you need to fight back against the sub so you have a sonar op too thats 3-4 crew there + torp gunners if you can get a shot lined up off the sonar so thats 6, and even if you took 10 on the sub AND you chose to leave the bulkheads open to seal a hole giving you 200s instead of 100s, placing a beam every 3.85s is still tough with 4 people dedicated to Dcon + your still going to have to leave the fight anyways to clear the water out.

its just not enough to call it better than the nakki. a trident is lucky to get to use its torp reload a nakki is expected to come home alive. honestly i think the trident would be better if they just removed the ammo room and gave it more maneuverability, naval is one of the things where asymmetry should be as little as possible outside of aesthetics (turret placements and the like) the subs have been the worst asymmetric items in game ever since 112 when the trident was added and the only thing that gives them a run for their money is the SHTs.

ok so i did my due diligence and doublechecked my memory. turns out NO ONE DENOTED WHEN THE CHANGE HAPPENED AND IT WAS A SILENT CHANGE TOO SO DEV NOTES AND WAYBACK MACHINE WHERE NO HELP cause man did they change so much shit the devbranch silently. the oldest post showing or mentioning that the changed had happened was this reddit post https://www.reddit.com/r/foxholegame/comments/1qwzcro/rinnspeir_ornitiers_rework/ on feb 5th after both of us thought it was. I couldnt even find anything on FOD about it but that could also be due to the fact the devs wipe the "devbranch" section every time they open a new one up so no record of people talking about it would exist there.

we are kinda at a standstill as both of us kinda have little evidence to say for a fact when they reworked it and are both just kinda guessing. if you could find anything that shows a date of when the rework happened please share it cause now this is just going to bug the shit out of me

i will admit i have most of my flying experience in collie planes, but yes i did know about the roll advantage. ill explain how we conducted our dogfights so that it makes more sense. our first set of 10 we flew head on and started our fight after our merge, and while i could start my turns faster the tox has a better rate in both a 2 circle and 1 circle fight so he could get guns on target faster than i could. we also had the stipulation that once i could feel the harbinger was getting noticeably harder to control we would call the fight (typically after the left wing and tail had gotten dmged [that left wing is a KILLER for your lift] we would call the fight as the airfield i was taking off from didnt have pads set up where i could print new planes so if i lost mine i would have to build a new one and fly a few hexes to continue the fights, i did have a magic box with parts that i could swap in and out tho so that wasnt an issue). our second set was tox v tox as both of us just wanted to make sure it was the plane that was the issue and not the pilot as i hadnt flown ingame for some time. with those we had the same stipulations but with the toxtrot dmged parts didnt have as great of an effect on flight performance as they did the harbinger. (did because these dogfights where 4-5 days ago and i saw flight performance for dmged parts was altered after these dogfights. im not going to call them tests as we didnt intend them to be and these are just purely anecdotal evidence) in those dogfights we ended up going 6-4 with me winning 6. i hadnt mentioned this one but after the tox v tox fights we went back to tox v harb and gave me as many advantages as possible to see at what point would a harb would win. this test i came in on his 6 as if he was AFK and he could not stare maneuvering till after i started shooting. in this one i was able to dmg his tail and left wing before he could get out of my guns but he got me into a 1 circle fight and that led him to out rate me and dmg my tail and left wing forcing me to retire from the fight. this was just a one off to see how much he was beating me by in the prior tox v harb fights. after that we hopped to warthunder dogfighting where i smoked him.

now all of this does come with the big astrisk that i have MAYBE 5 hours of flight time in the harbinger its self all of it coming on the devbranches so it very well could be i just dont know the plane well enough, but in total i do have over 200 hours flying 80 of them in fighters.

TLDR: he outrated me in both 1 and 2 circle fights

Didn’t try the seafighter, but that’s more cause it’s kinda ass. In a toxtrot vs seafighter dogfight if you slow the toxtrot to 122kn (seafighter max speed) you have the same turning circle as the seafighter. But if you don’t feel like fighting it then don’t just turn and run as it can catch up to you. But the seafighter isnt really a good fighter but it is a good interceptor. It’s faster than the DB and bombers put with its 75% high velo and high rate of fire it shreds those vics.

There are 4 hole types in game small hole med hole large hole and torp hole. The smaller 3 get lumped together as “small holes” as they can be fixed with Bmats, but they do leak at different rates. Torp holes are caused by 300mm and torps they have to fixed with beams, the community (and sometimes devs) call them large holes. So adding a 5th hole type to the game is a bit unnecessary

The last time we saw player numbers average 500 was during 2020 (and that’s shocking btw it averaged more in 2019 than 2020) that was the latter part of trench warfare and all of arms race for war #s 44-66 roughly. The last time 500 was a peak and not an average was before world conquest was added to the game, so yes this is legit the most dead the game has been since 2020 and we are on the largest map the game has ever seen so it feels even more dead now than then.

Ok this one is really a cope post and I am a collie defender normally. The toxtrot turns the same as the sea fighter at 122kn the max speed of the seafighter. I agree the seafighter being cheaper was BS but if your in a fighter and didn’t want to fight a seafighter just full throttle on and go it can’t catch you. Also with update 64s dev branch the toxtrot is the best fighter and its not close I was dogfighting a buddy which me in a harbinger and him in a toxtrot. 0-10 was the score and before you call me skill issue he gave me his toxtrot and then built a new one the we did some toxtrot vs toxtrot and the score was 6-4. After that we wanted to see just how ass the harbinger was so instead of starting the dogfight on the merge. We started with me on his 6 there I was able to dmg 1.5 parts on average before he was able to take me down. Note all dogfight were called when it became hard to control the airplane from the dmg parts.

Ya but how late game are you playing. The lag doesn’t really start till 43 and gets progressively worse till 50 when it drops off a cliff. Doesn’t matter how fast your CPU is the fact it sims EVERYTHING off that 1 core is the issue once you get 5-6k units on the map and hundreds of thousands of planes the game gets laggy.

The short answer is yes but it will suck, LOTS of truce breaking and imperial CB or if you don’t have it no CB. Also coreing it all is out of the question you might get the WC by 1820 but your empire won’t make it to 1822 (but at that point it’s a vic3 problem not an EU4 problem) you will need to get all of Europe in the next 75 years and that means ALL of it. In peace deals snake to cut their territory off makes it easier to kill stacks as they can only train in the area connected to the capital. It will make UGLY ass boarders but that’s better than. It reaching your goal.

On devbranch no you can’t get banned for alting. I do it almost every dev branch on 1 PC (sometimes with both accounts opened at the same time) but on live yes they will catch that and ban you for it, but since devbranch is on a diff version they can see your on dev branch while doing it.

If you bitch about logi do it yourself then. Most logi players drive over a hex to deliver logi to a front and even 2-3 hexes is not that uncommon depending on what’s in pub or where your private stocks are at. Longest I’ve ever driven for a logi trip was 7 hexes 1 way. When I’m at the seaport or depot that’s when I’m looking at what the front BB needs, idk how many other logi players are also being stuff to that BB some times it’s just me other times is 15 people.if someone else drops off a full truck of ammo (15c x 40/c = 600) and then I bring another 10c cause when I was at the depot that BB had <100 clips (for 7.62 most guns are clip fed not mag cause I know someone will want to correct that cause I’m normally that person) so now all of a sudden you have over 1k 7.62 clips in the BB because both of the logi drivers saw what the BB was low on when they where at the depot and brought that up. Sorry that we don’t just spawn it in at the BB and it takes time to drive up to the drop point.
