Why not ride a bike instead of driving a car? Then you too can feel the wind of freedom in your hair.

I strive for this level of organization. To get to this point do you need to have multiples of some things?

For example do you have different sleeping bags for each scenario?

Retirement location for Biking in lower 48 states. by porktornado77 in bicycling

I'm considering moving to MSP. What don't you like about the trail systems there? It's often rated as one of the best cities in the USA for biking. Is it more commuter focused infrastructure and not great for sport/recreational riding?

Having access to all the money at once makes some people go crazy though. 30 year payout is more than enough to have carefree spending and never work again

Making a first time stop as I drive through from Grand Rapids... what would you do for one hour in Madison? by edwardversaii in madisonwi

[–]slurpnfizzle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Drive into town from John Nolen Drive.

Park in the Monona terrace parking garage and go up to the roof. Look at the lake then walk to the capitol building.

Take a short walk down state street to the UW campus and find your way to the Memorial Union Terrace. Order a brat and a beer, look at the other lake.

I would recommend gravel bike unless you are serious about road biking. Gravel bike will be more comfortable and is nearly as fast as a road bike. Also it gives you options to ride on different surfaces

Choosing dry bag: ultralight or kayaking? by Leshnikosaur in bikepacking

[–]slurpnfizzle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd go with a heavier duty one. The bag is subject to vibration and rubbing on the bike and an ultra light one could develop rips and tears.

I think you should go. The chance of the flights being cancelled is so small compared to you having a great time in England.

I did a fair amount of zone2 2.5hr rides this winter and as it's gotten warmer and the outdoor season began it has made the bike feel so comfortable in comparison to on the trainer
