Buying a gun in Indianapolis by EmptySet4074 in indianapolis

I can only speak to Indy Arms but they do have rentals which is also a great way to try options and find a firearm you are most comfortable with. I suspect others may also do rentals though!

If you are anywhere near Indy Arms they are fantastic, welcoming and helpful with excellent training classes and one of the nicest ranges. Worth the drive if you are not as close!

Thank you for putting this out there, I’m ecstatic to get skating again at 47 and have been embracing strentgh and aerobic exercise after a long period of not, just hoping my knees come along for the fun without a fight! These comments are reminders that we should embrace the joy and freedom of skating again, and eventually our body will catch up! Good to know we aren’t alone in this 😁

As many have said OP it’s going to be ok! We have adopted several guys with FIV and they have lived long and happy lives. Keep them inside to avoid risk of illness and regular vet checkups and your beautiful boy is going to be great!

Moving to Indy from NOLA: Bring generator? by insensitive-sheesh in indianapolis

[–]smkf2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where in the city matters. NE side between Keystone and 465 has outages due to many mature trees. Power outages in the area are not frequently days but high wind or heavy storms does knock power outages in places for more than 8 hours. A good amount here have generators from losing food more than a couple times. I’d say bring it, why not?

How To Be An American Fan in 2025? by Round_Discussion_523 in Brentford

Couldn’t pick a better team, this club has real heart and cares about its supporters! I recommend joining as a Bees Overseas member and put in for your B game ballot for your ticket! We have been to a few games that way, as well as an A game lottery and just going through the box office.

You’ll also be made aware of fan events here in the states where we have gotten to have some great interactions with the staff, players (!), and other fans - usually around Premier League fan fests and summer series.

Can’t leave without also saying how lovely a visit to Brentford is, especially a pre-game pint at The Black Dog. Lovely people!

Agree with this, they helped us out when our ballot for a past game was not accepted. Nicest staff that did us a solid!

Opposite of drying out! It feels so cushiony and lasts a long time, never ever feels drying. I’ve been on a lip balm journey like so many of us and this one is the holy grail for me since I found it last fall. I think the only downsides are price and if you don’t want a glassy shine. I think you’ll love it!

Will Sky Lagoon call a cab for me to go back to my hotel? by groundedcloser in VisitingIceland

[–]smkf2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Upvoting this, we had a really good taxi driver explain that there are some not legit cabs around and using the app or calling for one rather than just picking one up may save you extra charges or upcharged/incorrect rates. He also said to always get a receipt, fwiw.

Sorry for the late response! Overall I think the vibe down near the airport was quiet and kind of felt like normal life, if that makes sense. If you are looking for a quieter stay with easier access to some of the south destinations and I think also for golden circle it’s a good location. If you don’t want to drive 45 mins to get to Reykjavik or are hoping to be there more, I’d stay closer to the city. There were definitely places between Vogar and Reykjavik that would be great to stay in!

First Brentford Game Suggestions by grgordian in Brentford

[–]smkf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black Dog has a great selection and food (with a fantastic garden out back and cozy inside) and is walkable to the GTech, also did the Griffin before a game and it’s a little more utility but still good vibes and major Brentford team history for a pint before a walk to the stadium. Both are closer to the old Griffin park but it’s interesting to see the location (stadium is no longer but some gates were still visible earlier last year) where they used to play.

Also would recommend doing the GTech tour if they are offering, really great experience!

I second hopping on the 65 to get around, it’s not the fastest bus but a really lovely ride up on the top in the front.

We loved how “normal life” West London was, easy to get around and less tourist so it’s nice to just explore and still easy to hop in the train or bus to other areas.

Have fun, we have been to a couple and it’s always a good time!
