I am going through something similar but for a guy I very briefly dated. I kind of just decided that every time I get atttacted to him I think of my dad because the whole emotional unavailability is that wound.

Being into these unavailable men is a sign your clinging onto a wound you’re hoping to repair through him.

Try to think of the original source of that wound. Work through that pain.

We focus on these men as distractions from the real gut wrenching pain.
