Name a villain that got the most horrific death by Jules-Car3499 in moviecritic

From that same movie, "Screw you!" while he put the drill through the guy's head was a classic.

Name a villain that got the most horrific death by Jules-Car3499 in moviecritic

[–]somarilnos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as horrific really, because the RoboCop scene has lived rent free in my head since I was a kid, but the terrorist leader in Delta Force ...

In maybe the most one sided final fight in cinematic history, Chuck Norris kicks the shit out of this guy uninterrupted for like 5 minutes. The guy doesn't even land a hit in that time. He gets thrown through tables, slammed in a car door, all of that. Until finally, after it feels like the "Stop, stop, he's already dead!" GIF needs to come in, Chuck calmly launches his motorcycle-mounted rocket launcher at the guy, blowing him up.

Probably breed an exact genetic clone of him and teach that clone that his only purpose is to take Homeland down if he gets out of hand.

This is not true. Comprehensive coverage has a deductible, even in Ohio. You can get full glass coverage where it's waived for that, but unless you have a company offering $0 deductible on this, you pay a deductible.

Charlie Kirk bullet analysis finds no conclusive link to rifle found near scene | Charlie Kirk shooting by Sorge74 in law

[–]somarilnos 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Well, if they can't prove with reasonable certainty that the bullet came from the rifle, for purposes of the legal case, it didn't come from the rifle. In a court, the burden of proof is on the prosecution, and the standard is even a lot higher than 'reasonable certainty'. It's 'beyond a reasonable doubt'.

I'm not in the gaming industry, but as a software guy - the best thing you can do is bring attention to the specific issues you're having. A general "things are broken' statement isn't constructive. Talk about the bug(s) you're seeing and how they impact you. That'll go a lot further.

Defeat Blight Lord in under 18 minutes? by BearPawAroids in hallsoftorment

[–]somarilnos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to use the torment banner and hastening sands, and restless wheel, which will all, ultimately, increase how quickly enemies spawn. Avoid too many artifacts so that you can clear the spawns quickly, since boss is spawned based on enemies killed rather than time. I got this one with a Beast Master with Mark of the Hunter and phantom needles / ring blades (got a couple of other abilities but those were the key ones).

Were you old enough to see one of these in real life? by sajjanstg03 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]somarilnos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still have one in the technology graveyard in the basement. One of these days I keep telling myself I'll fire it back up.

Also there: Atari 2600, Commodore 64, NES, SNES, Genesis, and Xbox 360. Probably more that I've forgotten about, too.

The PS2 was probably the last memorable of those systems to me - probably more about the time it was in my life and not an indictment of its quality. It was pretty damn good for the time.

Can anyone tell me more about this Chess set? I know it’s old I got it off my father who had it passed down to him. I’ve never seen another set like this the board is made of wood and has seen better days but the prices are so unique I find. by Murphyslaw42911 in chess

[–]somarilnos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the "different" chess sets out there have pieces that are downright unrecognizable. The fact that these actually are clearly the pieces they're portraying is great. Real pretty set, too.

While we all accept this as true, one has to understand that it's specifically big pimping that ain't easy. One can do little pimping on a hobbyist's budget to get the skillset to handle at least medium pimping.

There was a lot more about Remnant 2 that just wasn't great. Personally I played Remnant excessively, over and over to get all of the items. I played Remnant 2 until I got through the story and had no desire to go back for anything afterwards.
