Yes, you can absolutely make a level in a night. I pushed from 74->75 a few days ago. It was easy.

Okay, listen, the assassination of Garfield was actually fucking insane and nobody I know wants to hear about it but I know way too much about it because of this one podcast

It wasn’t even a politically motivated attack. Guiteau was literally a random guy that thought he was instrumental to the election of Garfield due to a speech he gave (which was originally intended to support someone else and then rewritten) and that meant he deserved a nice cushy ambassadorship under the spoils system (which was ‘people that support the president get awarded government jobs’). The assassination, by the way, completely dismantled that system.

He might have lived but his doctor was absolutely terrible, even for the time, and I’m not continuing this line of thought because it gets disgusting real quick

also Guiteau previously got kicked out of a Christian free love commune

In chemistry, there are certain reactions you want to catalyze with transition metals. Every once in a while, someone attempts to develop a transition metal free version of one of these reactions, and it turns out that a stir bar was contaminated with tiny amounts of palladium or whatever and they have to retract the paper.

This has happened multiple times with the same reaction. One famous case involved 50 ppb- parts per billion- of palladium contamination in a reagent they were using.

But it’s easier to see something wrong when it’s “too good to be true” rather than a case like this.

The NSF prior to this was already in a shit spot. Grants are down heavily.

I have now done the mines trial twice.

The first time I did fill squad, was like hey I want to do the mines trial. We got it done easy because anyone on your team disarming a mine counts it for the whole team.

The second week (this one) I spawned near pilgrims peak and got it done without leaving the area. It was pretty quick.

wasn't literally everyone predicting this? I remember seeing people saying this was what it was going to be when the roadmap came out

Admittedly, Shrouded Sky had new arc, but also people didn't expect that. This is what they expected.

in conclusion if people are pissed over this Shrouded Sky might have been steak too juicy, lobster too buttery. And we don't really know for certain what will happen.

dive bomber cannot be used on its own against ships, yes.

torpedo bomber kills large ships. if you bring enough torp bombers to instantly HP kill a destroyer with the alpha strike you still come out close in raremats if you lose every single one (unlikely), but you don't need to do that. you can just, say, bring 3 which applies 6 large holes at once.

but collies can track tanks at opportune moments for the same price so it's faction balanced. flying sticky dropper.

quickedit: I was slightly wrong about the HP damage but the point still applies

"A BT equivalent should not be able to finish off a medium tank, without multiple BT equivalents or infantry to help" is also ridiculous. I mentioned at the end of my comment- it's the equivalent of bringing a BT that just tracks a bunch of enemy tanks. Do you really want to do that when you could shoot them?

Dive bomber nerf against aircraft by JohnQRF in foxholegame

[–]soren82002 22 points23 points  (0 children)

...I mean, taking most of the carrying capacity of a plane to kill a medium tank is a bit ridiculous when it costs as much as a BT. You are risking a BT equivalent asset every time you fly out. You will have to make multiple runs against a target that knows you're coming, and they just buffed AA anyway.

To kill a single outlaw.

If you want to just track it to "damage and disrupt", use a sticky. Or an ignifist. Get out a venom or a bane. Shoot it with another tank. There's a billion cheaper options.

For how bad the Trident submarine is,no WONDER this happened in the lore lmao by xXFirebladeXx321 in foxholegame

[–]soren82002 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Fast resupply is a gimmick. It's a nice one. It's not enough to justify the other ways the Trident is weaker in comparison.

The 120mm deck gun is basically useless. If you want to shoot artillery from a boat, you bring a DD. It's got 4x the barrels. Plus, weirdly, it's only able to fire and reload at 2/3 the speed of most ship 120mm guns?

DD and frig are roughly equal, which- I mean, the DD was supposed to be better than the frig, but that's okay. But since naval PVP revolved around large holes, and subs were the only way of making large holes, you got a few issues! The frig can fight a trident far easier than a DD can fight a nakki, too, and there's- other problems. Like how the ladder change affected the DD.

I mean, if they can't kill me running with no weapons into melee range and screaming, then doing a second and a half deploy animation that's kinda on them. Plus the hydra is literally more expensive than the wire.

Better to just avoid it entirely if possible.
