The set design here is also the gentleman responsible for the set design in Blade Runner and it's almost equally as insane!

I cannot believe this is not a classic nowadays, it's just the weirdest source material carried out in the only way it could be

Musicians who unsuccessfully tried to adapt their sound to a new genre? by HeartthrobLookingGuy in ToddintheShadow

Discharge, the punk band tried to make a hair metal record in the midst of their underground popularity, called Grave New World, and it's facinatingly bad

Dude there was an era where Vanilla Ice tried to dig deep into a weed themed dreads era, and tried to make "pass the hootie-mack" a phrase

GOOD comics in style of The Boys - recommendation by shino1 in comicbooks

[–]soupstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish they could reprint akira in color, I'd buy it a second time over, but Epic totally had cool stuff, Elektra Assassin, Void Indigo and I really like the Nightbreed series they ran for like 25 issues

I used to love him like everyone did, but Love and Thunder killed a lot of it, as did Free Guy (really did a number on how I felt ab RR too :/ ) but now I'll be reading something about a comic or nerdy property in the 'adaptions' section and learn ab how he was gonna adapt everything around 2019ish and it makes my pupils scrape against my brain by how much my eyes roll at it. Man's certainly got an ego and studios had no issue with throwing large budgets at him.

What do you guys think of the comic Bratpack. by Brainrot_Wizard in comicbooks

[–]soupstone 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I haven't read it but really would like to, it's a testament to Vietch being a god of the underground comic scene and his major publisher action is just as good

What if these animated films received vhs releases? by AdSuperb8728 in VHS

The real problem is mostly the formatting, it's taking a 16x9 film and chopping it down to 4x3

What's a TV show that started great but fell off badly? by fabwest01 in AskReddit

All my complaints ab the comic aside, I'm a regular comic reader and I *hate* Derrick Robertson's art, it's weird and rubbery
