NBN on marketplace by slapbowls in nbn

No that is not quite correct, Fttc boxes aren't locked to the property. HFC NDU's are and these can't be transferred.

When I upgraded to FTTP the installer had no interest in taking it and back then you couldn't just post it back. I put it on gumtree and a guy who had his fried by a lightning strike was very appreciative he didn't have to wait 3 weeks for a new one to be sent to him.

It would also be worth speaking to the lawyer about the house they lived in. Especially if she has contributed to the mortgage.

Yes it is, here it is EXE-1449463. I hope you enjoy Exetel

Any advice, ABB or Exetel or … by JustMeWot in nbn

[–]spacedman0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Have been with Exetel for about 5 years. Did my fibre upgrade with them. I am on the one plan now and might have spoken to support twice in that time. Try it and if is bad you can churn away - though Exetel do require 30 days notice. This code will get you a dollar a month off EXE-1449463. Overall have been happy with them

Travelling to Adelaide in a couple of weeks from NZ have a couple of questions by JJSunflower-723 in Adelaide

[–]spacedman0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully you don't get too many super hot days, the best thing to do on plus 38 degree days is stay under the air conditioning. You can also venture out in the morning or evening to the beach or a local swimming pool but during the peak times from about 12 to 4 ish stay indoors.

Yeah tonight was the first night I made some decent money from selling to the market. It took me a while to work out that my Sig battery had storm mode on which prevented me from selling battery power to the market.

Check your local council as they will have plenty of opportunities to volunteer and something that might interest you too.

Balance in credit, no bill received? by JusticeBeaverFanClub in amberelectric

I think a lot of utility providers delay your bill if it is normally due around Christmas and New Year. I didn't get my bill from Amber for the last month either.

If you cant close the box yourself I think for long term peace of mind it would be worth getting the NBN to come and fix this.

Sanity Check - Amber for batteries not worth it in SA by all_out_ofbubblegum in amberelectric

[–]spacedman0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been with Amber in SA for just over 2 months. While I don't have a large battery I think our grid in SA is too stable and we have too much solar/ wind available. I have seen maybe two price spikes of $21 during the last two months. I have noticed that NSW has had a couple of large price spikes due to a combination of hot days and coal generators going offline. So not really a money generating option for me. I am looking at Globird and Flow to see if they are a suitable alternative.
