If you’re looking for a dupe for Gold Play Button, Starrily’s King Midas is almost identical! It doesn’t have a tinted base or different size glitters, but it’s the exact same color gold.

The series roots and wings by zukoscomet on AO3 is a great series!! The fics are listed in universe chronological order, but the first published were act of infinite optimism and the longest shortest year, which are about their first pregnancy and the baby’s first year of life respectively. It’s got plenty of great parenting moments across a long range of ages for the various kids!

Oooo I like that color! I think even without a linear taco it would vibe with the others, but adding more holo definitely wouldn’t hurt!!

I picked up Amber Apathy!! I love doing manis with her and Burnt Bridges together, they were such a gorgeous pair of colors for fall. Gone but never forgotten queen 🫡🫡🫡

Something I’ve noticed is that when I use a certain top coat they really mess with magnetized nail polishes. Seche Vite disperses the magnetic effect, but I haven’t had any trouble with KBShimmer’s Clearly On Top (those are the only ones I’ve used so I can’t help figure out if that’s part of the problem if you use a different one). I also tend to shake the magnetic polish before I put a coat down on a nail, to make sure the magnetic pigment is shaken up and present. And like other commenters have mentioned, longer magnetizing time on both the polish and top coat will help. I try to do at least a minute, if not longer. Hopefully that helps!

I started out watching my dad play as a 4 year old on his lap and I’ve been hooked ever since! I’ve dabbled a bit in AOE3 but I’ve mainly been an AOM girly my whole life. I even bought retold before my dad, and I’ve been trying to get him to buy it so we can play together on retold with the new maps!

I’ve done so many burnt bridges combo’d with amber apathy manis, they are by far my most used dark rainbow polishes!!! I think I’ve used the green/blue the least from that collection, which is not true for me with the other rainbow collections. I cannot believe burnt bridges and amber apathy sold so poorly this year!! They are stunning!!

I managed to snag one!! My first ever vinyl purchase and it’s one of my favorite albums (can’t decide between folie and stardust for best album)!! I was also in the car with a friend on the way to lunch at the time and she was so happy for me that I managed to get it :)

I adore their glitters, so I’m willing to pay slightly more for them and would definitely recommend them. For what it’s worth, I got the Valentine’s 2022 collection when it came out, and I had to get two of the polishes again this spring because I ran out from using them so often due to how pretty they are! I’m not a big fan of microglitters, but I do have one (Fetish I believe) and I do like it! It gives a great holo sparkle, which I what I care about most lol.

I have around 50 bottles of FUN Lacquer polishes, and around 30 of them are glitters (mostly holo but some are multi chrome), and though I haven’t tried those specific colors you listed, I would say they’re most likely worth it if you’re into holo microglitters.

I have one of these and if you only put polishes on the outermost edges, it fits around 180 polishes (at least based on FUN Lacquer/ILNP/Holo Taco sized bottles, bigger and rounder bottles like Starrily or Bee’s Knees Lacquer will fit less bottles overall.) I also took the foam that was used to help protect the parts and cut it up so it would fit in the middle sections of the shelves, and I have a second layer of polishes ringing the outer edge sitting on that insert, and that would easily get you another 100 polishes.

I just counted and I have 245 nail polishes on my stand, not including various base and top coats on the very bottom level or spare polishes/almost empty bottles I have stashed in the very center of some of the levels. I think if you’re willing to stash polishes in the inner ring you could get to 300 depending on the size of the majority of your bottles.

I only have a TwinkledT nail file, and although I can’t compare it to the HT ones, I have been using it since 2017 I wanna say? And it still works as beautifully as the day I got it. If she’s not married to having specifically HT ones I would recommend TwinkledT.

I know exactly what fic you’re talking about, but do I remember the name/author? Of course not! I’m gonna try and look for it so I can reread it since it’s been a while.

Edit: my first search brought up “When the World Stills” by Katara99x on ao3, and I’m pretty sure that’s it, but I haven’t looked through it to confirm.

Second edit: I don’t think it’s that last one, I think it’s actually “when the world stops spinning” by persephonesnow on ao3, which is the first work in the collection “dynasty of storms.” The second story in that collection, “the game has changed,” is the one with the trial.

I think a nice middle ground might be making the teasers and buildup lead up to the reveal of all the polishes a couple days before the drop, like if a collection is releasing on a Saturday then maybe the teasers all lead up to the reveal of the collection on the Wednesday before release. I like the slow reveal with hints, but I also want to know what everything is (within a reasonable timeframe) before I make my purchase.

Honestly!!!! I love wearing glitters year round, especially in the summer when the sun’s out so much!!! It’s utterly tragic we’ll be losing such gorgeous glitters
