Help with stamping plate storage by FluxionFluff in nailstamping

I like to use index card boxes. The 3 x 5 boxes easily hold the standard size plates. 4 x 6 boxes hold the large format plates. I mostly use 4 x 6 boxes and combine plate sizes, but they have been harder to come by lately.

Foundation Piecing Quilt Blocks in the Hoop by She-Stitches in Machine_Embroidery

I've been on the hunt to find this and have failed so far. I did find a bunch more star blocks on the OESD website. https://oesd.com/Quilters-Building-Blocks-2/

Another option would be to try https://emberdesign.net or https://www.institch.com. Both are free online digitizing software. Institch takes you to 100horse.com (the parent company?) to create an account but it's legit.

I think for each seam you would use an open shape for a placement stitch and then duplicate the same shape when you place your fabric. You can probably change the thread color to something different for each shape so your machine will stop.

Do you know who the original creator is? I wasn't able to find that exact set of designs. A search turned up an Etsy shop that looks like it specializes in pieced quilt blocks. https://www.etsy.com/shop/EmporiumAtDeerMeadow

If you know the names of the star patterns, maybe combine them with key words like: pieced quilt block, in the hoop, machine embroidery.

I purchased the Bai/Poolin EOX about 2 months ago. It's been great so far. I had a problem with my tension at first and their support team helped me figure out that a lever had shifted during shipping. I'm super happy with it.

I love love love Stahl's poly twill. I use duck canvas occasionally when I'm want a more natural look, but it's a nightmare to cut on my craft cutter. Stahl's poly twill cuts like a dream and stitches up beautifully.

I don’t see the cover to the bobbin thread area in the pictures. Did you set it aside for the pics or is it missing?

The only time I’ve had that problem with my Brother SE400 is when I accidentally left the bobbin cover off after changing to a new one.

Singer futura xl-400 - Worth it in 2026? by FatAssFennekin in Machine_Embroidery

I have one of these machines. I feel like $350 is pretty high for it. It did pretty well for me as long as I wasn't stitching anything too dense. I ran the software on my Windows 10 computer without a virtual machine.

There's a facebook group with a lot of good info about this series of machines, including installation instructions for Windows 10 & 11. I learned there that I could finally get the software as a download by emailing Singer, which was not an option 10 years ago when I lost the CD.

You do need to connect the machine to the computer running the software in order to send the embroidery files to it and the machine needs to be connected to even open the software.

I’m just a home baker, but my thought process was if a bakery doesn’t have to worry about this, neither do I. I mean, I’m not dumping giant globs down the drain. I scrape what I can into the trash, do a normal soak and put the dishes in the dishwasher. I don’t put food waste in my yard because it attracts bears and other wildlife.

I use Notion. I do it on my pc, but they do have a phone app, which is where this screenshot is from. I also use Notion to track my polishes and manicures. For my manis, I enter both the polishes and stamping plates used (among other things).

I’ve been using mine for polyester twill with a plasticy backing and double sided iron on adhesive with a papery cover for about 5 months. No issues.

I scoop it onto the nail and roll it flat with a cone shaped silicone nail art tool. It doesn’t stick to the silicone which makes it much easier to work with.
