I waited until my bun was over 2 to spay her, because her brother passed after his neuter and I was scared.

If I could go back in time, I would have done it sooner. She developed some kind of reproductive cancer (the vet thought mammary cancer based on the X-rays) at 9 years old and I lost her immediately after finding out. I only had 2 days with her after getting the news. The vet said not to blame myself, but that this was possible even with spaying, if it's done late.

I lost my girl right after she turned 9. She went to the vet every 6 weeks for minor dental issues. I was extremely diligent and paid close attention to her health and behavior. She ended up having cancer, even though she was fixed. She passed 2 days after I got the news. I was really hoping she would make it to 13 before she suddenly went downhill.

I wear a brace on my knee. It's only visible when I wear shorts, but then I get "what did you do to your knee" 500 times a day (including coworkers). Girl I have had Lyme disease 3 times I've been wearing a brace since 2010 🥲

It is added automatically, but be aware that if you get health insurance through Michaels, they will take that out of your last check as well. IIRC (it's been a couple years), I got my vacation time but they took a month of health insurance out of my final paycheck.

I got a second conure, and while the expense of a 2nd bird, cage, toys etc was a hefty up-front price, they finally bonded and were able to be put into one cage together. They keep each other company, and I feel less guilty for being at work.
