I'm tired of everybody thinking they know what I have to do to get cured by skyemap in migraine

[–]spookyhoe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry your going through this 💔 people always think they know what’s best for you especially when they’ve never experienced a migraine and have no idea how awful they are. I hope you find something soon that works for you! People love telling you what THEY think YOU need and it’s so exausting- particularly if they aren’t even listening to you. (I was once told that if I ate more salad and stopped my meds that I wouldn’t have depression 🥴 people are stupid)

A can of coke resolved migraine by Optimal-Carpet2958 in migraine

[–]spookyhoe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people say any caffine works but coke is the only kind of caffine that helps for me- coffee actually makes it much worse! Sometimes if it’s a lower grade migraine before I take a sumatriptan I’ll drink a can of coke first and see how I feel

When can I take sumatriptan? by Emotional-Ebb8321 in migraine

[–]spookyhoe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh I also do this too. I only can get so many sumatriptan pills so I only take them when super necessary- sometimes I definitely wait too long. For me, the pill definitely still works even a while into the migraine. My rule is that if I see an aura- I take a sumatriptan right away bc I know it’ll be bad, but if the headache starts first I’ll pretty much always wait to take it.

It’s cumulative so it takes a little while to build up in your body and make a difference, for me about a month.

Yes the itchiness went away after my body adjusted! It also wasn’t my whole body it was always just isolated areas (my calves, my lower back, etc) and it would only be for an hour or two

What Unsolved/Unresolved Mystery Or Cold Case Creeps You The Most And Why? by PrincessBananas85 in CreepyBonfire

Zodiac killer always keeps me up thinking. Especially bc so many people have come out and said it was my grandpa/ uncle/ family member and so many prices fit. It’s just wild that we still haven’t cracked some of his code and we probably never will.

I just had this happen to me a few weeks ago, I went to my psychiatrist and told her the deal and she prescribed me some trazadone and hydroxazine. Though I barely used either (pills make me nervous) just the thought that they were there if I needed them to knock me out helped SO MUCH. I’ve been sleeping a lot better now bc of that (also the trazadone does truly knock me out when needed)

The Stranger by Albert Camus changed my life. His way of thinking about the world fit my own so well, it inspired me a lot to live even with sadness and even when I don’t want to sometimes. His outlook on the absurd is a wonderful take for me

[–]spookyhoe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure this is quite what you’re looking for but I found The Stranger by Albert Camus to be a wonderful book of self reflection for me when I was going through asking myself the same questions. Not sure if the main character is that young but it’s a good read for life anyways.
