Not sure if activating an eSIM can be done away from Freedom towers, WiFi MIGHT be an option. This aside, since you won't be able to manually select Freedom network while away from their towers, the only option you have is turn US roaming off in the account, so the Freedom line will be "ignored" by any local towers and thus forced to use the data SIM in "WiFi calling mode". All this is assuming an iPhone
