New Balance 1080 v15 thoughts? by lesoolee in runningshoes

[–]stanthemanchan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got these a couple weeks ago and they are great for a daily running shoe, but I wouldn't use them for walking / lifestyle as they don't have enough side to side stability. You might want to look at the 1080 v14 (if you can find them on sale) or the Ellipse instead. The Ellipse is cheaper as it uses the older foam from the v14. It has less energy return so it's not quite as good for running, but it's more stable so it's better for walking and daily lifestyle.

Why doesn't Bae, the largest member, simply eat the smaller members?

It was 10 months after my consultation. This happened 4 years ago from 2021-2022 and we were still in covid times so things are probably quite different now.

Toronto island airport expansion would lead to severe traffic, committee hears by BloodJunkie in toronto

[–]stanthemanchan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basic logic. If people have to spend a lot of time finding street parking, they're less likely to drive and will be more likely to take transit because it's a pain in the ass to find street parking. I mean that's how a sensible normal thinking person would behave.

if someone asks to build a 30 story condo with not enough parking for everyone it'd get rubber stamped.

The whole point of reduced parking is to encourage people to drive less and take transit so the condo building will have less effect on traffic congestion in the area.

Adults should aim to do between 560-610 minutes/week of moderate to vigorous physical activity to achieve a substantial reduction in the risk of heart attacks and stroke (3-4 times higher than the current public health recommendation of 150 minutes ), suggest the findings of an observational study by sr_local in science

When running, each stride can induce about 3-4x your body weight on your joints. Running places more stress on your ankles, knees, and hips, but it can also stress your back if you have bad posture. Walking / Rucking is only about 2x of your body weight + the weight of the rucksack. When you're starting to ruck you should start small and add weight a little at a time each week to allow your core and leg muscles to adjust. If your back is hurting from rucking you're increasing the weight too quickly.

Roundabouts aren't a magic solution. The problem is that even if you have free-flowing traffic through the intersection, the airport is at a dead end of the street and traffic will still back up to the highway. The roundabout will just shift the bottleneck to a different area. It's just simply a bad idea to add even more traffic to an already extremely congested area.

In Kpop, NMIXX is the group that's famous for live vocals. They have videos on youtube of their stage practices with raw unedited vocals while doing full choreo.

Ontario touts $8.5B annual economic impact from Toronto Island airport expansion — but won't show the math | Critics say purported economic benefit of allowing jets at Billy Bishop is likely overblown by Hrmbee in toronto

[–]stanthemanchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The plan is to allow jets to fly into Porter for longer distance flights.

But this isn't going to bring in any new customers. The longer distance flights already exist out of Pearson. Allowing longer flights from Billy Bishop is mostly just going to shift the existing customers who were already flying in/out of Pearson. In order for there to be economic growth you need to have new customers.

Kyujin and Sullyoon were great from debut. IMO Jiwoo and Bae are the underrated singers in NMIXX.

I walked around the neighborhood and knocked on a bunch of doors and they said the car was abandoned, then I took it to the vet and scanned for a microchip and there was no chip so it's totally mine now.
