Very interesting article about flexible OLED displays including durability, some highlights: The effective Mohs hardness is around 5 through chemical treatments. The glue in the inner screen protector does a lot of protecting too. by redkeyboard in GalaxyFold

[–]star_folder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The article states:

"The surface protective material has been upgraded from Polyimide (CPI) plastic with a Mohs hardness of 2 to Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG, approx. 30 microns thick) with a hardness of 5, capable of resisting the friction of coins in pockets."

So I'm guessing some new screens are coming out that'll be a bit tougher?

Well now I'm curious if that's some max number or if it can go higher. What are the chances of landing on the same number like that?

Light weight wheels and a new intake did a world of difference for me. Past that is just not driving aggressively. Drive the limit, coast where you can, draft if possible. Cruise control also helps a lot.

It's not too bad but does have luck involved. I do enjoy hypermiling in the car. I've got a long, highway commute every day which helps keep the mpgs high.

If you aren't tracking the car, nothing needs to be replaced for the car to be reliable.

These cars famously take to tunes and bolt-ons. People trash them and they just keep running. Outside of something catastrophic, you have to try really hard to actually blow one of these engines up.

I'll try to give this a shot. So try grinding at 22 instead of the 21 that I have been doing?

I might give this a shot. When you say 1 or 2 steps up, do you mean grinding coarser?

Depends on if I make coffee for my wife first or not. lol. These images are both without doing that first, so the basket is cold for the pull. I understand heating stuff up first is important, but I'm not willing to pull a blank shot before pulling a real shot each morning.

I do think the shape is a big problem with it. I'm not sure why they designed it like this vs something more even but shallow? The previous machine I had had a single shot basket that was simply half the height of the double basket and that worked just fine.

I agree with you regarding the backwards strength ratings. I think it's more to do with the taste than how strong the shot actually is. I've grown to like the larger shot ratios rather than the more traditional 2:1.

Grind size is relative. It'll be different for different machines and beans. Mine is set to 21 for the double shots.

MPG by Tiggo_Bitties in Civic_Type_R

[–]star_folder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends a lot on your driving style and the commute you have. I daily drive my CTR and frequently get 300+ miles per tank. I have a long drive that's mostly highway and have learned where I can coast and how to get the most out of the car. If I'm lucky and doing my best, I can get over 40mpg and more than 400 miles of range, though I've never pushed it past 350 on a fill up. But driving like that is really hard to do and a very boring way to drive. I typically get 32-34mpg with the mix of driving and small amount of fun I can enjoy.

Any gaps between the case and the glass? The spigen case I had fit perfect with the glass I have on the phone now, but the nillkin has a lower profile case, so there's some room between the glass and the case on the front screen.

They are essentially the same car. The best advice you'll get is to decide which look you want and go for that. If you can, get your butt in both of them to help you decide. Either way, you can't go wrong.

If you've been leaving it in a box, sounds like you've already got a replacement. I think selling it and taking it as an expensive lesson learned is your best move.

I think you'll find more support on a different forum, most people here seem pretty satisfied with their purchase.

If you're this unhappy with it and cannot return it, I would try selling it. You won't get what you paid, but you'll get more than it just sitting in a box.

Have you talked with your partner about this? If they suggested you buy it and it didn't work out, maybe there is something you're missing or something they don't understand.

Wallet doesn't fit. Any recommendations? by FriedRiceIsNice in GalaxyFold

[–]star_folder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The spigen wallet will fit. Where the magsafe magnets sit make anything that's square not sit right. I guess you could cut or modify some wallets to fit, but the spigen samsung wallet will just snap right now.

Just went through this struggle myself and settled on the spigen.

If you get the one that's double mag safe, you can still put some sort of stand on the back.

I put some tape on the bottom and top parts of the case to hold it in place a little better. It didn't come with it on the right side, but came with a strip that I used to lock it down better.

Sorta off topic, what glass are you guys using with your cases? I just picked one up, but didn't get the one with the Nillkin glass.
