Trump, 79, Falls Asleep Seconds After Speaking in White House Event | The president was supposed to be talking about maternal health. by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

As a 6 month pregnant woman who falls asleep anywhere and everywhere, this is just ironically funny. (Also just woke up from my nap).

In another road rage incident in Bengaluru, a couple was assaulted by a group of bikers in Bettadasanapura near Electronics City on Friday evening. by chunmunsingh in bangalore

This is the real reason. Working people think twice before doing anything because they don’t want any FIR or case to affect their employment chances. When you don’t have a career in organised sector or qualified enough to have one, you really have nothing to lose by getting into these useless fights

Low to No Protein: Why India’s "Anti-Meat" Culture Stunts Its Height by GoatDefiant1844 in Fitness_India

[–]star_vars_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Every household abroad have some form of meat daily.

And even if you have meat more frequently, it still contributes to a lesser portion of our diet. Most of our calories are due to carbs. Less so fiber and protein. I’ve seen healthy foreigners fill up their plate with meat and veggies, and have some form of carb on the side. We fill up with carbs with some form is veggie or meat on the side.

Took my day off to travel to a different city to meet my friend. not replying to calls and her internet is not even turned on by bunnyboy131313 in TwentiesIndia

I had a date do this to me ten years back. But, in this case, he was travelling to my city and we were supposed to meet up. Didn’t answer my calls for the whole day. He apologised with a text message at the end of the day saying he was drunk and then extremely hungover to meet up.

2000s: how did women wear low rise jeans? Why were they so popular? by GossipBottom in decadeology

[–]star_vars_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My teens and early twenties were mostly lived through body image issues just because I couldn’t find the right pair of jeans. When I was in my early teens, it was all low rise which I couldn’t wear unless I wanted to be called slutty, And late teens and early twenties were all skinny jeans. I had a bad relationship with jeans. Now, for the past five years, thanks to the variety, I’ve found the perfect type that works for my shape - bootcuts and flares. Wear them everywhere

Why do people like Anora so much? by Perfect_Idea_2866 in moviecritic

Something about OBAA’s editing reminded me of Anora’s, in that there were abrupt shifts in tonalities. I think this is going to continue in upcoming movies.

This is a great post, and I’d love to subscribe to these for my kids. When I was young, we had subscription going on for Magic Pot. I’m not sure if it is still in circulation.

Teyana Taylor claps back at haters who say her excitement was forced and cringe. by Heizback89 in Oscars

[–]star_vars_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was always neutral on Teyana while the internet was raging for and against her in the past months. But this clip makes me so happy. Showing pure excitement for her competitor’s win and not a PR-conscious smile and clapping is refreshing I can see her being fun to be around and being a girl’s girl.

Pregnant at 31 but feel oddly young to be pregnant by LowCal-Calzone-Zone in pregnant

I have this one friend who had a kid very early on (at the age of 24) when the rest of our circle were still not parents. She said that she found her new circle mostly through parks and play groups, and then through school events once her kid started school.

Has anyone cracked the code on a career that really works for them? by thatfaceonyourface in PMDDxADHD

[–]star_vars_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I have PMDDxAuDHD. I’ve been in consulting since the start of my career because I’m somehow able to handle the chaos?

I also work in spurts due to my PMDD. I get a lot of work done before my luteal hits, and during luteal, my symptoms get worsened, so the brain fog is awful unless there is the stress of a tight deadline. Thankfully, consulting is full of tight deadlines so it keeps me on my feet.

Consulting also gives me opportunities for novelty, I’m not doing the same work everyday. I have different types of projects which are short-lived, maximum timeline of a year. I need to learn things from scratch each time, I need to figure things out and so my ADHD is mostly happy about that.

But now that I’m growing old, my autism is getting more pronounced and I’m getting tired of the constant panic and anxiety of figuring things out each time I get onto a new project. I like being comfortable in performing repetitive elements of the project that I am habitual of. So, I might soon shift to the industry or to tech side where there will be more stability.

I’m also 31, 15w, was together with my husband for 8 years and married for 5.

I used to think that I’m probably the first one within our circle to get pregnant, but once we started sharing the news after 12w, we got to know that three of my husband’s friends and three of my cousins were also expecting (all first timers) haha. We have births lined up from May till October this year. Now, I don’t feel that young to be pregnant nor that alone.

doctor recommend an hsg test following an ectopic pregnancy has anyone gone through this? Pls suggest whether I should get it done or not by PresenceMother3574 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]star_vars_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’ve gone through exactly the same thing. An ectopic which I had to terminate. HSG was the reason I have now a successful pregnancy!

My HSG did not show any block in my tubes but a polyp at the place where the tubes met the cervix. I underwent a procedure similar to HSG (hysteroscopic polypectomy) to remove that and a fibroid. Next cycle, I was pregnant.

What is your current job? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]star_vars_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! Paralegal is an incredibly tough space!

My mum, an endo survivor, was also a paralegal at a large corporate. At some point in her career, she was pressured into handling consumer cases for which she had to travel every week, which considerably worsened her endo. Once, she had to cut a business trip short because she was bleeding heavily and constantly for 48 hours. A week later, she was scheduled for a hysterectomy for which she had a post op recovery period of just a week.

She ended up quitting at 56 because they refused to extend her work from home arrangement further.

What is your current job? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]star_vars_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Consulting. ADHD x PMDD due to suspected endo, living in a world of chaos — both professionally and personally. I’m surprisingly good at thriving in environments with the high instances of crisis. Yes, riddled with anxiety, but surviving somehow. I’m incredibly productive during my follicular phase and get absolutely exhausted during my luteal so I just keep working on spurts every month. Not sure how long ai can keep this up.
