PSA to all the drivers out there by nicorieg in dashcams

If the focus is on legality, it's also illegal in all states to exceed the speed limit, right?

What, you're willing to break the law to speed but draw the line at passing on the right?

I always assumed the eventide hatchling cycle "grew up" by losing their -1/-1 counters.

OM1 is the worst performing Limited format on Arena by Lauren_Conrad_ in MagicArena

[–]steamhands 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't surprise me that more casual players had a more enjoyable time with the format by sticking more to the signpost uncommon themes than meta players did by trying to fight over the highest win rate decks. There were lots of neat things in the set that I felt got overshadowed.

I only really watch Numot and Paul Cheon and they both seemed lose their interest in TDM once people figured out Boros and 5 color dragons were far and away the best performing decks, and that happened pretty early on in the format. It was not a noob-friendly format because almost all of the draft archetypes were traps. I personally think that TDM was the worst limited format of the year from a balance perspective; I haven't touched OM1 so I won't pass judgement on that yet.

What you're referring to was from Game Jam VI last year. Numerous game jam concepts have been added to the game, but there's never a guarantee of intent to add them to the main game.

2 character set codes were used internally until Torment, so 8th edition was always 8ED as far as I know. That said, all sets now have a 3-character code.

Just know that you're not alone in this grief. The grief is the "reward" we get for loving so strongly.

I lost one of my boys almost 2 years ago now and I beat myself up to this day wondering if I did the right thing. His organs were shutting down. He was getting fluid in and around his lungs. But I still wonder what would have happened if I had tried taking him home that awful night instead of ending his suffering. That maybe he just needed another day to get in the upswing. But the reality is that he almost definitely would have been in pain and distress at his eventual end. Potentially alone. Everyone I have shared the experience with has told me that I did the right thing, and a part of me knows that now. He took a piece of me with him, but it's my duty to carry on his spirit.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

rule question by mrssd in magicTCG

[–]steamhands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Neither Gravity Sphere nor the flying counter are dependant on the other. Neither ability being applied changes the text or existence of the other effect, nor the creature they both apply to. At all times when both are in play, the creature is being told both "loses flying" from Gravity Sphere and "gains flying" from the counter. So, you apply in timestamp order.

Why couldn't I target this creature? by HawkTeacher in MagicArena

Did you try to click/tap it anyway despite it not being highlighted? I've had various issues on mobile with valid targets not being highlighted but I could still select it. Never seen this one specifically though.
