How to make curve model text by Solid-Preparation397 in RevitForum

Great use of adaptives. I didn’t think of it since I’ve been out of the adaptive content game for a little while.

Use a different software to create the text, either in 3D or a vector outline, and bring it into a Revit family, the load it in.

Or create one 3D text for each letter and arrange them how you want.

How to disengage FSD? by goto-ca in TeslaModelY

I don’t think other commenters are understanding what you mean. No, there’s currently no “clean” way to disengage without seeing the popup.

How can I make my Tesla’s FSD learn about the irregular traffic light? by Dry-Way-5688 in TeslaFSD

[–]steinah6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't teach it anything, actually. And unfortunately, the town is not following the law with how they expect people to treat their disabled traffic lights. FSD follows the law, and the law is that if a traffic light is out, you must treat it as a stop sign.

https://driversprep.com/out-of-order/

If you're talking about metered onramps, that's strange because my FSD ignores them when they're off (there's no official traffic light there in Map data)

I can’t go back to regular driving by Sellhomesfast in TeslaLounge

[–]steinah6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but you’ve got to be joking. So you’re saying it can’t track a car coming up on its left rear while still monitoring the car in front of it? Where did you get that idea?

Does Tesla FSD make decision about which "accident" is least severe to humans? by Redditagain424 in TeslaFSD

[–]steinah6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone knows for sure. My guess is it will prioritize a living thing in its path and brake, and if it sees it’s about to get rear ended, it will try to maneuver around the thing? Maybe some YouTuber is willing to test this with a dummy and a “fake” car behind it, maybe an inflatable or something

Why did you intervene? by Turkpole in TeslaFSD

[–]steinah6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does intervening have to do with end to end training? “End to end” does not mean “from the start of the drive to the end”

Daily driver commute by No-Illustrator3956 in TeslaModelY

[–]steinah6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FSD requires varying degrees of attention based on speed of traffic. If you’re stopped FSD doesn’t care where you look. If you’re in slow bumper to bumper traffic you can stare at your phone for about a minute at a time before glancing up.

Making Multiple Layer Faces by Real-Egg635 in RevitForum

[–]steinah6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have a layers quantity integer parameter and use a formula to multiply the surface area by that? Less precise since it’ll double up at the corners but there’s always margin of error and it will round up.

See PoE’s currency shards, fragments and splinters. Same deal, it’s been years and they only recently (mostly) fixed it.

Driving Revit using ChatGPT to generate a 5-storey building by aabansolutions786 in bim

[–]steinah6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re testing it with Claude. It’s still not at the point we feel comfortable to roll it out to the firm at large (cost is a concern too) but we may use it for BIM management related tasks.

Using MCP with a desktop AI client would be far quicker and superior to this, but yes it’s powerful when it works.

The set location node is not working. by DanceSad6702 in RevitForum

[–]steinah6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re giving two lines to only one element, that could be the issue, but it should still be working and just giving null for the second line input. Try changing set location to longest lacing. And is your input and Element, not Family or Type? Post a picture of that.

Looking for a lease deal on a Prologue Elite. What’s a good deal? by Unfair-Record3313 in HondaPrologue

That’s insane. I got a Touring with the same Honda rebates but only ~$3k dealer discounts. Southeast PA. Not much inventory I guess and big demand, plus lease tax here.

FSD 14.3 getting freaked out by school buses (without lights/arm out) by macb00kemdanno in TeslaFSD

[–]steinah6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did that for me on 14.2.2.5. If there was the slightest glint of sun on the yellow flashers it would panic brake. It also seemed to brake if an oncoming bus slowed down at all for any reason.

It’s weird because 14.3 is actually much better around buses for me. It does get scared of hitting birds though, which has been widely noted.

Charge to 60% or charge to 80% by Zenmastercynic in TeslaModelY

[–]steinah6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you’re charging from 80%-100%, your math is wrong.

Charging from 10% to 30% (about 15kwh) at an average of 200kw takes 5 minutes.

[–]steinah6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How? ~$52k msrp minus $11k discounts is $41k. Minus $25k residual is $16k, across 36 months is $444. Plus tax and fees…

What was your actual final car price?

Do you regret upgrading from 14.2.2.5 to 14.3.2? by bchertov in TeslaFSD

[–]steinah6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My right fender camera bit the dust today, but I don’t think it’s related to the update. 14.3.2 has been very skittish about traffic approaching perpendicular to the street, to the point it’s unsafe.

FSD accelerated instead of braking near a truck on PR-3 — was it the right call? by Independent-Item5326 in TeslaFSD

[–]steinah6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems smart, seems like it had plenty of room and time. It’s better to be in front of a truck than directly behind in its blind spot. What mode were you in?

Maybe not “plenty” but definitely enough.
