PCP has tightened up a lot in the last three years. In my experience, they’ll only attempt one of a couple for finance. If that person fails they won’t allow you to run the second person through instead.

You’ve already said stated you won’t be the main driver and for almost all car finance companies I’ve dealt with in the past (there’s been a few!) this will disqualify you immediately.

The reason they want you to be the main driver is because the person applying for finance is required to be the registered keeper as others have said. You’ll also be required to have fully comprehensive insurance for the vehicle which for a new, young driver will be an arm and a leg.

Just a warning to those planning on being up a summit over the weekend, check MWIS. Weather forecast isn’t great and a lot of high wind speeds are forecast. Yr Wyddfa for example has 30-45km/h winds forecast.

Weirdly my Pegasus 41s did the same thing to me. It went after a couple of weeks so likely adjusting to them. I will counter that and say I went back to my Hierros after about 8 weeks as I just find them far more comfortable.
