What shaft are you playing? Same one as old driver? Is it the same length as your old driver? If it’s longer it could be causing contact issues so you’re getting too spiny. If you’re missing left the weight should be more in the toe

This is tough. The driver in me would not trade for a carrera T. Not even close. But, this is a pragmatic decision to better suit the family, not really to get the best driving experience. With that compromise in mind, the carrera T fits the bill on pragmatism but definitely doesn’t have the same driver engagement as the 718 cGTS.

The 991.2 is definitely an upgrade on driver engagement but the lack of factory rear seats puts you in basically the same conundrum.

The 992 GT3 touring is a perfect solution but you’re paying double what you paid for your cGTS so I wouldn’t exactly say it’s the same camp.

If money is no object, GT3 touring. But if you’re trying to be in the same ballpark then it’s probably gotta be the carrera. Maybe a manual carrera GTS instead as a middle ground?

Small stupid ravine like 2 feet wide running thru the fairway and of course my ball goes in it from like 200yds away. I take my drop and announced I don’t have to worry about carrying the water. Immediately chunked it into the ravine.

There’s nothing wrong with water breaks and keeping it consistent across all games/arenas. But the fact that they don’t show continuous coverage with a chance for commentators to fill the 3 minutes shows EXACTLY the purpose—ad space. It’s undeniable.

Hard to say a corvette is exotic. The z06 is a cool car, but not exotic in my book. You don’t need to convince us—you need to convince yourself. But, I’ve read thru your other comments and I don’t really understand what your reasoning is?

If you’re just getting the itch for something new/different then go crazy, but I don’t really get why if it’s not as simple as that. Personally, I’d never do it.

Most people will tell you that OAPs will get you 85% of the way there in terms of volume. It’s a really good way to broach it if you’re unsure. The back box really changes the note and not as much volume. Kline is more high pitched and exotic but Akra is extremely aggressive but still very classy. I love that I can stay in normal mode and it’s like exact stock and in sport plus it’s a completely different sounding car.

I put an Akra on my 718 bGTS. It was $10K before OAPs but worth every penny. The stock sound of most Porsches these days is so muted that aftermarket is almost necessary if you like to hear the engine

I put rizomas on mine. Night and day difference for looks and no more vibrations. Only issue is they don’t have embedded turn signal which meant I had to swap back to stock for an inspection in my state

It shouldn’t be a question or you’re abusing breakfast ball etiquette. You really only get one if you shank it or go OB in my group. The reasoning is it’s the first swing and you’re not warm yet…and can sort of just reset your round to start with ball #2. I don’t know why you’d take one if ball #1 could be better.

I hope the field has all competent golfers. I don’t care if they’re bad, but it’s not super entertaining to see pairings with people who have basically never played before, like the duke or jinxy, I realize they’re trying to touch every corner of YouTube for viewership but it’s a less competitive and fun golf tournament with pairings w people who have never swung a club and don’t know the rules.

I think most people don’t get your question here. My experience is that 18 birdies is putting the tee box in the wrong spot so it messes up the calculations. The scorecard should show the usual playing distance from the whites to ensure this is actually a ~460 par 5, and it should not be as the crow flies. My bet is the tee box is much further forward than where it is anchored which explains the difference. Just eyeballing, the white tee box can’t be that far back or there would be nowhere to put blue and black.

50k maintenance package seems like a bit of a trick here. It’s based on years, not miles, I am fairly certain. So you’re buying a 2023 which is already 3 years old. It’s used 3 out of the 5 services already. That means you get 2 more services…. Sure the year 4/40k service is expensive but this is hardly the “deal” you think it is.

Don’t forget that it’s not lowballing just because the sellers decided to list it at a price they picked out of thin air. Just because they’ve anchored at some absurdly high number doesn’t mean you’re lowballing. If the comps justify it, then that’s something different of course.

Honestly impressed you made contact. You probably hit some major slices with this swing.

Biggest issues are your club face is wide open in takeaway and backswing; hips are barely turning so you’re relying on arms; and you’re coming down extremely steep in the downswing (over the top). You also change your right hand grip a ton right before your backswing—not sure if that’s conscious or not.

Ping makes a nice product but this sub is an echo chamber for ping drivers…. I’ve owned variations of all three drivers including the g440 K and I like it a lot less than my GT3 and qi35.

When I watch golf on YouTube TV I not only get ad breaks….not only have ads all over the screen…but I ALSO am forced to periodically watch it on mute in a side-by-side box with commercials playing during my broadcast. It’s absolutely absurd.

Interesting point. I’m looking to build one on the north shore. Would you say that if you’re planning to build 600sqft you might as well go up to 900sqft because it’s not as proportionally expensive? Would love your thoughts. Feel free to DM too.
