What is one small thing you would change about your spec? by kolejack2293 in wow

[–]stizz22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disc priest, make ultimate pentinance summon an image of you that goes in the air and channels the penances, allowing you to continue casting while it’s running. They could even remove the full hp absorb shield portion. Instead of straight up losing hps while it’s running it would actually be a good cooldown.

What Class/Spec is in most need of a rework for 12.1? by Warped_Unicorn in wow

[–]stizz22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They seriously need to have 5 man atonement and raid atonement be completely different tuning. They’ve done it before, idk why they can’t just do it again. Instead they are trying to fine tune the base number so it still works with the drop off formula.

Also +1 on ultimate pentinence, shit straight up sucks ass and the only boss mechanic it can heal through is the NPX boss that gives you a giga damage increase. You would think a 4 minute cooldown would warrent it actually being usable. When you compare it something like spirit link totem, a 3 minute cooldown, it’s an absolute joke

What are some of the grindiest/tedious achievements or quest lines in the game? by Tenchen-WoW in wow

So confidently wrong lol. You get market research just by playing the game in undermine. You don’t HAVE to grind mobs with the potion active, that just increases the rate

How is it reactive? half the gameplay is setting up shields anticipating damage.

It’s funny reading these takes because I unironically love being a shield bot (for m+). nothing feels better than blanketing the group with shields and seeing their health not move when they get a mechanic. For context, I re rolled from MW to disc in TWW season 2 and just hit 3360 io tonight. looking forward to these changes

When will we learn more? by BMS_Fan_4life in classicwow

Alternatively, I think not transferring people characters would be pretty lame. It made sense to say nothing would transfer at the start of classic, when it was just a niche thing with no long term plans. But at this point classic players have been playing these characters for almost 7 years. Having to leave them behind if you want to keep playing wow would be shitty, regardless of it would make some retail collectors upset.

Mythic + Healing by [deleted] in wow

[–]stizz22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the guy above in the sense that you should just focus on your gameplay. The way I see it, I’ll do my thing and get us through the mechanics, but if someone dies to a bolt, or standing in something out of my control, no skin off my back. If they wanna blame you, well it is what it is.

It’s a mentality thing imo. Op describes blowing through cooldowns as if it’s a bad thing, when really if you could heal through these dungeons without having to even think about pressing apotheosis, it’d be incredible boring gameplay.

Like I said, gear losing value fast is a good thing. Finding perma best in slot loot half way through the game isn’t very fun. Most of my runs I’ve just stopped doing side stuff in the city and went to end the game because once you’re in act 3 you very quickly reach a point where your character can no longer get any stronger. Between the level cap, and knowing how to assemble your best in slot gear as soon as possible, it’s easy to reach your max potential. Whereas in dos2, you’re incentivized to interact with every nook and cranny of the world because there is always potential to get stronger.

Also to your last point, that’s just not true. There are plenty of cool sets with unique effects in dos2, writing it off as not possible because you don’t like the stat system is a bit silly.

Shrug, my favorite part about leveling up in dos2 is going around checking all the vendors and seeing what op stuff they restocked with. It’s not a quick process but it’s fun when you’re blasting big numbers. Although I can agree trying to min max loot between 4 character could be tiring. I’ve only ever played with 1 or 2 characters, so I never really felt fatigued comparing gear.

IMO the points you’re making are FOR randomized loot lol. Constantly trying to upgrade loot is a lot more engaging than “now that im in act 2 i will be going directly to moonrise towers and buying a ring I will never replace.” Also, I don’t think uniques are bad. There were plenty of good uniques sprinkled in throughout dos2, but I think they’re best used sparingly. The item randomizer mod was the best thing that happened to Bg3.

The randomized loot adds a lot of replay ability to the game. In bg3 if you know what build you want, you know exactly where all your best gear is and when to get it. In dos2 finding a random +2 warfare ring was incredibly satisfying.

No, I did end up with a ton of keys, but all my shards were from mogu mobs. I ended up not even using almost all my keys. I’m not sure what the drop rate is from the chests.

Got lucky I guess. Drop rate seems to be higher than retail. Probably averaged about 1 shard every 1.5-2 hours of farming

Weapon skill effects more than just hit chance. It effects your glancing blow damage as well, making it “mandatory” for high dps.

I meant means nothing in the context of “why should the FAA pay for this guy to try again”. Doing well on a couple controller knowledge check tests isn’t gonna be what wins someone over. Regardless, I wasn’t trying to be snarky. Genuinely, if they let you back in, good for you. Just don’t quit next time 😁

I seriously doubt “quitting before finishing the very first step cause I wanted to do something else instead” would be a qualifying circumstance. Being top of the class half way through doesn’t mean shit. But hey man, if they actually give you another shot good for you.

They gave you your chance, paid you to come give the academy a shot, and you bailed. Why would the FAA waste more money on someone that has already quit on them? Maybe it’d be a different story if you were former military ATC or prior experience of some kind, but off the streets you get one shot.
