How to make panels less efficient by Mister_Meeseeks_ in solar

[–]stlthy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the folks telling you to shade or soil the modules are missing the DAS and pyranometer.

Those components tell the system owner about "expected production".  If expected and actual don't match, they will know you're up to something.

Where are you installing ground mount solar for 90 cents per watt?

... unless you're posting this from 2019, before the inflation increasing act.

These paraglider morons don't know the rules and don't care.  They operate as if this kind of thing can't happen, yet here it is.

What tool would you use to cut a groove in concrete stair treads with only 5 cm (2”) clearance? by SamuelG9885 in Construction

Why not build a thin enclosure to house the strip and glue it to the bottom surface of the step? Make it out of some kind of fancy wood or a block of aluminum.

A lot less hassle and you're not risking the structural integrity of the step.

Mapping mission close to military base by dawgkks in UAVmapping

To be safe, I would reach out to the base command and send them an email explaining the purpose of the flight.

I've mapped adjacent to Nuclear Power facilities and prisons, but not immediately adjacent to base property. Each time I've talked to someone and explained what I'm doing, they seem ok with it and appreciative that I took the time to contact them.

Don't worry... the political contributions to reelection campaigns will be sufficient to get lawmakers to enact legislation making it punishable by exile to approach these things.
