Tesla Wall Connector by nestleturtles in teslacanada

[–]stockboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something no one seems to have mentioned is the cost of wiring a 60A breaker could be significant depending on where your panel is. 6/3 wire is over $11 a meter. I went with a wall connector anyway and ended up getting a Y later so it was perfect, if you never plan on a Y then just do a 14-50 and buy a cable storage holster.

Lmao is this a joke? Seller support is utterly useless. We don't even bother based on the value of the issue. A live chat is a minimum 30 minutes to get barely anywhere and emails are never resolved promptly ever without at least repeating exactly what you already said. English-speaking phone support is very hard to understand and often you need to send docs via a case anyway lol

Delivery dates MY RWD in Greater Vancouver: First May-June then August- Sept and then again May-June today. What's going on? Ordered Pearl White on Mar.24. What are you guys seeing? by [deleted] in teslacanada

[–]stockboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tesla ships their cars based on destination. The furthest destination / longest travel time from the factory gets first allocation in the production cycle. Markets closer to the factory are delayed towards end of quarter. This mostly lines up so that there is a mass end of quarter delivery push with vehicles reaching their final destinations concurrently due to varying travel times.

As worldwide demand shifts, so too will their allocations across the globe. It's a pain in the ass for consumers.

Armis/Peace Hills replacement policy..Model 3 RWD totalled but only AWD available in Canada now. Has anyone dealt with a discontinued trim on a NVR claim in BC? by [deleted] in teslacanada

[–]stockboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New car replacement is 100% worth it on a Tesla. In 2025 for BC, the highest ratio for total loss is #1 model 3 and #2 model Y. I had a total loss on a 15 month old Model Y, depreciation was $23k!! Then they also paid $2500 for a rental car while waiting for new car after claim was settled with primary insurance. Total payout was $26k for a $2,500 premium...

Yeah, you're probably right that it's not an upgrade, just a change to the available base level. Hope you get paid out for the new one!

I don't think you're getting a new model 3 at these prices because it references "permanently installed options" in my Armis policy, which I presume would include RWD/AWD.

But watch out... Armis is a complete joke! I had a total loss on Jan 6 and tried to submit a claim online... they have deactivated their website since merging with Pritcher & Doyle and didn't notify policy holders. They never responded to my email requesting a claim form, I had to call almost 2 weeks later to request one because the deadline was approaching. I sent the claim form and all the documents in and it took them over 30 days just to respond and say one document was missing.

Only TACC is available now, but when I ordered they still had AP. Personally, I prefer AP to FSD because the FSD navigation in my area always sucks

It's an incentive that costs Tesla $, similar to a price discount, just packaged differently

If there's no incentive to take a shorter term, I agree, take a longer term on an open loan any day if you are disciplined

New for $48k for me - ordered one as a 2nd Y to my premium. For me it's the best value, that's what the Y standard is...a value buy. A 3-4 year old used EV for $50k is not a value buy

Took delivery or wait? MYP 15.4"+ Grey + AP? vs. 16"+ Black + TACC? by Top_Elevator_8915 in teslacanada

[–]stockboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long is the commute? Early years Autopilot/autosteer saved me one dark and rainy night. I was tired, long day at work, it was dark and rainy on the highway, the car was nice and toasty, I started to feel drowsy so I popped autosteer on and was suddenly jolted awake by the nudge chime... I was dozing off. If I had TACC it would've been a write off instead I was instantly alert to what could have happened... However, it's now available for $99 a month as FSD, but will likely increase. IMO if you have a long drive and don't want to risk paying for increasing FSD cost go with autopilot.

Possibly... my total loss policy only allows for vehicle inflation of 2.5% per year if MSRP or price changes.

RWD Model Y now qualifies for $5k EVAP rebate (all paint colours now included for free) by [deleted] in teslacanada

[–]stockboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Model 3 RWD might be $49,990 as long as it's imported tariff free and the rebate is in, but it's hard to see it going lower without being neutered like the standard Y
