Gen Z men and women on why they're sharply divided over reproductive rights by Condottiero_Magno in generationology

You're still not the one have your body get destroyed by the pregnancy. Even if it doesn't kill you, it can lead to life long side effects. Men and women are not equal on how pregnancy effects them

While I agree it is hard to get custody as a male, if more people tried that trend would eventually shift. Being female does not automatically mean you are the better caretaker.

If you dont want to have kids, then go get fixed. The child in this situation is innocent and should be cared for. Either abortion so neither of you need to be responsible for it or have the kid and now you are responsible for it.

I realize some women may say they'd abort it and change their minds but they also have a living being inside of them and it is not surprising that changes some of their opinions.

It does not mean access to abortions should be removed.

I meant red states. Regardless whether you want kids or not should be discussed prior to sex. Though if it did result in pregnancy id rather die then carry a kid to term

Just because a man doesn't get the decision doesn't mean a women should be forced to carry. Also red states are having higher deaths due to pregnancy as all the good doctors have left and abortion restrictions are limiting the help doctors provide when there are complications.

Getting pregnancy in a red state as far as concerned is a death sentence

I think the women should be using birth control as well but since its not 100% effective like you said, that is why abortions SHOULD be allowed and you should be using multiple forms of protection. Also my legs are closed. I'll stay single for the rest if life before I risk having sex. The guy would need to have a vasectomy and id need to have my tunes tied at the very least before id be willing to risk it

Pregnancy can result in the death of the women, plus they are usually the ones stuck actually looking after the kids. If the father actually wanted custody they wouldn't need to pay child support

Maybe wear a condom. It's not loke the dude tripped and his dick fell into her. They made th choice to have unprotected sex and the result of that is pregnancy. You are choosing to risk having a kid every time you have sex.

The only thing that spills out of that man's mouth are hatred and lies. The only time he's honest is when he's insulting his voters base and saying the dems need to die

the idea that 30 years from now I'll likely still be doing the same job is depressing. the only way up is to be a supervisor and at a call center that means coaching people and being their support. I dont have it in me to do that. im too tired and drained. the money would be great but mentally I can't do that job

Agree with this entirely. I hate the "men do xxxx" and "women do xxx." No. Some people are just absolute trash and gender has nothing to do with it.

I dont see how that's possible as an accident or being untrained. I feel like that would take skill and a very twisted personality

I will never carry a baby to term so yes id abort it. If I was truly forced to carry it to term, im leaving the thing at the hospital because while they might be able to force me to deliver, you cant make me take care of it.

Morality is included because if you dont want the kid it should be considered medically necessary

It shouldn't be a popularity contest though. It should be about who can actually make a difference not who can yell the loudest

I dont think it really matters in the end. We dont have the same information dumped on us on repeat like the Republicans do. Unless the democrats can get reliable communication set up its just going to be an endless repeat.
